President Bush is prudently refusing to relinquish control of the operation to the anti-American United Nations.

Russia's Vladimir Putin was pushing for UN oversight of any US action up to just a few days ago. He now seems to be completely on board with having US troops in the former Soviet Union after he had a long conversation with Bush over the weekend. I'd love to know what was said in that phone call. Thank God we have Bush as president.
