I am a Christian but I am still afraid, especially for my young children. I know that it is difficult to find the US in biblical prophecy, especially in the end times. Could it be that we simply don't exist? I fear that is the answer.
Maybe the beast that rises out of the sea in revelation is not the UN but Terrorism, different from the others beasts is it not? There is no way the US can protect itself from biological, chemical or nuclear weapons, we haven't the will to fight political correctness and evict our enemies.
As terrible as this sounds, I'm afraid, I mean really afraid, it's effecting my ability to concentrate and work. Forgive me for posting this.
Now does that mean this is these are the end times? I don't know and neither does any well meaning pastor/rabbi, etc.
A true child of God just lives on....he/she has already been bought with a price.
In that, I must agree. We often fear death whether we know it is coming or whether it overtakes us by surprise. But if your faith is strong and your life has been the best you could make of it, fear has no place invading your peace of mind.
Yea though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me.
Words to live by.
Don't imbibe.
In fact there seems to be no mention of the entire Western Hemisphere. There is one allusion "the lion and her cubs" which could POSSIBLY refer to Britain and the United States.
By the pre-trib "rapture" view, the one which IMHO answers the most questions about the Bible, all Christians are going to be suddenly removed from the Earth before the end time fun REALLY begins. I expect the world to see a New World Order -- globalization with a vengeance -- at that point. The USA, whose distinctive character had been long guarded by Christian faith, will quickly merge into the global order at that point.
Cheese.
Be not afraid .
Pray and trust in Him for comfort and guidance .
Cheese.
Never put words into Gods mouth, otherwise you've blasphemed .
That's because they get paid millions of taxpayer dollars to "process" these people. If they had to suddenly start to provide English teachers,"culture" teachers, housing assistants, drivers, vans, food kitchens, health care, etc, etc, etc, on their OWN dime, this support would stop overnight.
It took me a while, but I count, in my Strong's concordance, 81 times we are told to FEAR NOT. Then there are at least 48 times that the command to BE NOT AFRAID is given. Many times these are followed by the enjoinder to be anxious for nothing or be of good cheer.
If God repeated Himself that many times, don't you think that he meant it?
Medicine has found that when we are are worried, our bodies release stuff which actually attacks itself causing all sorts of physical maladies.
Just leave God's stuff to HIM and you won't have anything to be afraid OF!
Where? do you get a notion of Michael Stomping the devil if he even dared not rebuke him?
ummmm.....what do ya mean?
Hmmm..., well, you'll have to forgive me for asking -- but -- when did I talk to you? I don't see that I was talking to you, but rather, to Scythian -- and in accordance with the original posting.
Did you get me mixed up with someone else that was talking to you? Now I'm confused -- here.
This is total "garbage prophecy". It's so "whacked" that it doesn't fit anything that the Bible says.
It's something like "pop prophecy" from "newspaper headlines" and a dose of "political persuasion".
Try really reading and studying what the Bible says about these things. The Bible defines who the dragon is (for one thing) -- in pretty clear and in exact terms -- that you choose to ignore. And you're ignoring the rest of what the Bible says about these things, too.

This IS you, isn't it? I fasted for Yom Kippur, but don't think I've gone senile yet. LOL
God wants us to tell Him how we feel and then let go of it. He wants us to know that because He loves us and is in control of our life, we do not have to live under a cloud of overwhelming doom or anxiety.
:)
Now I see what happened. I looked at the post that you were replying to.
On Post #221, it says you were replying to Post #220. So, I usually look back at the posts, to see what was said (earlier), so I can understand a person's reply. Thus, when I looked at Post #220, I saw that it was Scythian that I was replying to. And so, I couldn't figure out why you were replying to that one.
Thus, I was confused as to what post you were replying to.
But, now that I do s "search" through the whole thread, I find the one that you are referencing. Keep in mind, it's helpful to "reply" directly on the "post #" that you're answering -- in order to keep things orderly and "in context". That's the only way I can figure out what is going on in a thread that is about 200 or more posts long.
Now that I see which one you're replying to, I'll go back and look at it again.
I take it to mean that you're a Jew (by saying this). Are you a Messianic Jew? I only ask this because you make reference to the book of Revelation, of which I don't think one would find a Jew, outside of a Messianic Jew, making that kind of reference.
Obviously one would not find a non-Jew observing Yom Kippur. I simply wanted to know what direction you were coming from, in answering that portion of prophecy (part of which is in Revelation -- i.e., do you take it to be the Word of God, in the same manner as the law, prophets and writings?).
