These facts above are indisputably thought-provoking for anyone with even a scintilla of religious curiosity. I post them today from this website because I was made aware of the Afghan/Israel connection years ago by an Army Chaplain friend who I've lost contact with. He has an entire paper written on the subject. I'll try to locate him and get his permission to post his work.
Agree with it, disagree with it....that isn't the point.
The point is this: what is God doing in this age? Is all this occurring as a step in His plan to reunite the tribes? Is this all mistaken research? I don't know. But I'm not going to ignore it.
You must note that these people groups mentioned are the crucial groups in conflict in all these countries and with Israel.

Most of the people of Kashmir are Muslims. In spite of it, they are sympathetic towards Jews and Israel. Not true. If you have a URL for this, i would be interested in reading it. I have read about a lost tribe in North East India. AFAIK, most of them were brought to Israel by the Israeli government.

Benjamin isn't one of the ten lost tribes. Why would the Afghan Royal Family claim decent from it?

He used to have his book on the internet at: www.LostTribesNoMyth.com but it is down now. The timing for the site to be down is really bad in light of these events and this thread. If you freep mail me, I will send you his phone number.

I've heard also that the Pathans keep the Mosaic law of cities of sanctuary. Have you run across that assertion in any of the reading you've done?

Israel was forcefully marched to the northern reached of the Assyrian empire around 800BC. Around that time two groups rose up in that area, which split into what are often termed Aryans and Scythians. At some point they began to scatter, some toward India and China, some toward Europe. It is believed that the Euro group eventually became the Celts. They also kept remnants of Jewish culture, for example not eating pork. There have been archaeological finds along the migrating paths that show evidence that this was indeed the lost tribes. It doesn't suprise me that there would be some remnants in Afghanistan and surrounding areas. What it means I don't know, other than it does fulfill the Abrahamic covenant that his descendents would be like sand on the seashore.

Sheesh, the Pathans have similar traditions to Jews because they are Muslim, who have 'borrowed' most Jewish tradition (Kosher = Muslim Halal, circumsicion, not eating pork etc. etc.) Besides, North-western India (parts now in Afghanistan and Pakistan) have fallen under quite a few wandering tribes, from Greeks to Scyths to Huns to Mongols to Turkic groups, so they are a mix. The Bene-Israeli are found in the South of India in Kerala where many Jews fled after the destruction of the second temple in 70 A.D. and where they were welcomed by the King.

What exactly was the "birthright" that Esau sold for a bowl of "red" porridge to Jacob?
What exactly was the "blessing" that Isaac gave to Jacob instead of Esau?
Who is modern "ESAU"? He is still to be a player so why does no one speak of him?
Reading those two things might give insight as to the travels of the House of Israel. Most know where the House of Judah with Benjamin went after taken captive to Babylon.

This is the BIGGEST FRAUD AND HOAX OF HISTORY! The Kashmiris have no Semitic origin. Hindu Kashmir had only Aryan gods, Aryan religion and Aryan traditions being followed in Kashmir. The Semitic names have come to Kashmir after the 14th century with the advent of Islam. Kashmir and Afghanistan have been a part of greater India, that is Aryavarta. Ancient name of Hindu-Buddhist Afghanistan before Arab invasion of Afghanistan is Ariana. We laugh at these fabricated stories.

salam and hello, i would like to say that we were not descendants of israelis most importantly jews, as someone stated there are stars of david in every house, this is 100% false. i am half kashmiri half pathan as it happens my self and i strongly know my culture. this person needs to read up on history, we have also had a claim that we are european descendant which is not middle eastern as israel is. also what does the person mean we sympathise for jews? this person seems to be a jew himself! we are simply us, the climate around us is different to the rest of pakistan and so we are fairer. please do not be offended anyone its just the the truth. thank all for admiring our warrior spirit but no one owns us. i belong to islam and i belong to my land, thankyou

You ask what "is God doing in this age"? I will ask you "have you not read", it is written, Christ said he foretold us all things.
It is also written that not all will understand what is written.
"IF" you will read very very carefully there are some "hints" within this article.

Another problem with this is that the Jews freely spread all over under Persia and then the Hellenized world. There were significant populations of them in many places. I don't think there are any "lost tribes." What was lost was the hereditary possession of the land. After that, they wandered far and wide, along with their brothers from Judah, and lost their distinction as separate tribes.
I have a contention, though, with this article's premise that these guys are still Jews. Any Jew who converted to Islam is a Baal worshipper.
khaqan_khawaja, the Gypsys have been proven to be related to India, not Israel.

Funny how we went through the entire effort in Afghanistan and nobody pointed any of this out. I did feel a certain bond with the Pashtun that I didn't feel with any of the rest of the middle east. Interesting. Makes you wonder if the muzzies hate the Judah-ites so much because they refused to knuckle under. Heck, that's why the rest of the world hates them (except for those of us who don't).
