Congressman David Dreier appeared on "Hannity and Colmes" Sunday night. When asked about the National ID Card, he stated that Speaker Dennis Hastert was considering it, and that under present circumstances it could not be ruled out.
This pleases you?? It sickens me....
But thank you very much for calling in. You handled it perfectly. A salute!
You have to get away from fixating on the planes. That horse has already left the barn
A person walks into the Sears Tower and sprinkles a vial of "X" into the ventilation, infecting 5000 people who go home and hug their kids and kiss their spouses. The next day the kids and spouses spread X through the schools and offices. How would your 'plane' card help here?
OK...so we make it so you DO have to show it for day to day things so the woman has to buy a fake card before she slips into the Sears towers to spread "X". How will the silly card really protect us? Just somebody design a scenerio where that silly card protects us from anything????
You're naive as hell. You trust 535 people, too many of whom were Gary Condits to throw out Klinton, to "save your freedoms?"
Look at Nam for an example of how much you can trust Washington. Hoaxed Gulf Of Tonkin "incident" of LBJ's got 58,000 GIs killed. And the draft didn't end because Washington wanted to; it ended because "civil disobedience" was so rampant that the draft effectively got to be voluntary.
My parents and grandparents lived in the U.S. through all of WWII - all the way back to Pearl Harbor - and none of them ever had to carry Nazi-style "papers" in the name of Washington saving their freedoms. I won't either.
Do I win a prize?
I just don't consider them NAZI-style papers.
Funny that you don't see the connection between the two. I guarantee you that many of the Nat'l ID proponents do.
Precisely. And now they are trying to convince us it's our fault for guarding our privacies too jealously, and they'll do better if we just submit to an ID card, against all the historical evidence to the contrary.
And many people seem to be falling for it. I don't get it.
It's obvious what you are from your posts. You further confirmed the picture when you say that you are a lifetime federal employee (or did you not say this? If not I will admit that I erred) you are by definition a non productive burden on the rest of the country. NASA is nothing but a form of wealth transfer for scientists and engineers (rather than crack heads and welfare queens which I guess is a little improvement, but not much.)
Thank goodness you're not running our government
You and the rest of the drones in government "jobs" better be thankful, because if I were in charge, the NEA, the Commerce department, HUD, HEW, the IRS, and the AFT would be gone, and NASA would be about 1/10 the size it is now. All of the government "workers" whose careers depended on doing something for which there is no demand and no market, but get their money from the loot extorted at gunpoint from those who do useful work would be forced to become productive members of society. But I digress; this is off topic and I only bring it up because you did.
to get back on topic, if you want to live in a society where the government has taken away freedom in the name of security why don't you and all those just like you move to Cuba? It's a perfect example of how freedom has been "preserved" by giving it up. The have national ID cards, and you know, there are darned few hijackings there. Of course you have to give up a little, like living in more than one room and eating regularly and having any wealth at all. But there is your ideal society - go for it
Thank you for confirming my conclusions about you. Oh and I forgot - the EPA would be gone too and all of the drones there would be looking for real jobs too.
