Averting war? We've been at war since the morning of 9/11/2001. The Taliban is begging to be made an example of. It would be rude not to accept. We're going to burn those bastards to the ground and no religious freak, peacenik, or other undesirable will tell us different.

None of the religious leaders had anything to say about the Muslim countries and their terrorism. Now that we've been hit and are going to strike back, they're all kinds of vocal. Message to religious leaders: get the hell out of the way because we are coming through regardless. Pacifism caused the death of 6000 people. It will cause the death of our country if we don't act now.

Pacifism did not cause the planes to fly into the buildings. Lack of security and awareness of the abilities and intentions of our enemies from the top down did. Our federal government was formed to prevent domestic terorism and the defend our country.

"...The Taliban is begging to be made an example of...."

Oh? Have you heard somewhere that the Taliban is repsonsible for the attack on the 11th?

Be made an example of what, I wonder? The inevitable fate of former allies and beneficiaries of money, arms and training? Or perhaps examples of the ease with which American citizens can be taught to hate people of whom they knew nothing last month?
