This morning on Fox News, they ended a segment with a clip of Neil Young, in his old cowboy hat, singing IMAGINE. This was at last nite's show in Hollywood to presumably benefit the families of the victims of the act of war in New York.
I agree with the majority posting here -- it's difficult to feel that many of these individuals are genuine -- they're so good at manipulating their emotions.
It'll be a cold day in hxll before I believe Julia Roberts or Robert DeNiro. Kelsey Grammer seemed truly shaken.
Aren't Bono and U2 pretty stalwart supporters of the IRA? Sting is quite left leaning in his beliefs -- which he generously shares with us.
All in all, I wasn't impressed--the world has turned, at least temporarily, from these shallow role models. I want to watch and learn from some real heroes and mentors. Firefighters, Rescue Workers, Police Officers, our fabulous military, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleeza Rice, and our own President Bush.
You can't fool *me* with that knavish trick. I'm expected to respond "A moose once bit my sister," or "I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition," dragging everyone off-topic. Ha!
Can't we all just "be as one"? :)
Because 10% od us are beneath contempt
They know who they are....peacnicks, blame America first crowd, communists
Thank the sweet Lord they are only 10%
For them I offer no quarter.
