Neil Young sings IMAGINE at Hollywood show for victims

This morning on Fox News, they ended a segment with a clip of Neil Young, in his old cowboy hat, singing IMAGINE. This was at last nite's show in Hollywood to presumably benefit the families of the victims of the act of war in New York.

I'll ditto your comments on Billy Joel. I did like the Dixie Chicks. Bruce Springsteen did a good job as well. Some performances just seemed to stand out more than others.

I agree with the majority posting here -- it's difficult to feel that many of these individuals are genuine -- they're so good at manipulating their emotions.

It'll be a cold day in hxll before I believe Julia Roberts or Robert DeNiro. Kelsey Grammer seemed truly shaken.

Aren't Bono and U2 pretty stalwart supporters of the IRA? Sting is quite left leaning in his beliefs -- which he generously shares with us.

All in all, I wasn't impressed--the world has turned, at least temporarily, from these shallow role models. I want to watch and learn from some real heroes and mentors. Firefighters, Rescue Workers, Police Officers, our fabulous military, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleeza Rice, and our own President Bush.

Imagine Neil Young with no possessions...I wonder if he'd care? Really, really poor choice of a song that supposedly was for the victims of the 9/11 act of war. Still waiting for the first Hollywood leftist to declare a vow of poverty from their ill-gotten capitalist gains. I won’t be holding my breath.

Sure, but would you want your sister to marry one?

You can't fool *me* with that knavish trick. I'm expected to respond "A moose once bit my sister," or "I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition," dragging everyone off-topic. Ha!

Like I said, I only saw about half an hour of the show, and then that was in bits and pieces. The impression I got though was that it was to raise money for the victims families.

Can't we all just "be as one"? :)
