What a night of disasters for TV

The first 30 minutes of the "heros" special was so bad, the acts so lame, no hits, no nothing......what a wasted opportunity.......

I couldn't take it any longer......

It seems that if the studio ain't in Nashville, the sound will be crap.......

The stars, on phones through the hour I could stand with no sound on, were never spoken to, and they were the only points of interest I could find.....all these stars and we're watching a bunch of absolutely mediocre performances by past icons who weren't even smart enought to play their hits......

I knew it was going to be a bust when Springstein DIDN'T play the only appropriate song he has, Born In the USA, and instead sang some nonesense about rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up and maybe another word or two.......

Hollywood, or whoever is going to take the fall for this absolute failure, should, IMHO get out of the business.

I've done that, (performed in front of huge crowds)....no big deal.....when it's your business it doesn't matter what the size is, you can't see past the first few rows anyway.AND, these folks were just playing to technicians in studios......

Bingo....that's what I meant to say....in a week of reality, these people are seen for what they are, actors: not heroes, not great speakers, not historical figures.....just actors, no more, no less

A good friend of mine pointed out that we had a generation of kids that were raised by baby boomers who challenged everything, and these kids have had NO real hardships, so they pierce themselves to experience "reality" or pain.....

Now with the coming war, he thinks the pins will leave, as reality sets in, with enough pain and loss for them all.

I wish them well, and hope they grow up into good Americans, ready to take the hand off of freedom....

Copwife. I didn't watch the show. You see I had this feeling every no-talent, brain dead, and uninspired whatevers would flock to be on the show. From the posts and what I've heard I spared myself of a lot of grief.

Did Paul Simon do a good job with "Bridge Over Troubled Waters"? Was it just him and his guitar or did he have accompaniment? Personally it's hard for me to imagine Art not doing the song.

I didn't watch the whole thing,but Paul did a fine job.He isn't Art, but he is the next best thing. Other than Celine singing "God Bless America" IMHO it was the only other thing worth watching on the program.

That is a very tacky thing to say! She is old and may have Parkinson's..... I saw her on a show recently and she seems physically weak, has had both her hips replaced.

I personally did not watch it, we watched the movie CAST AWAY. But know you can most likely buy copies of the video on eBay (isn't that copyright infringement) and I just thought, WHO WOULD WANT TO PAY FOR THAT!?

The vast majority of Hollyweed types have never, and will never be patriotic, nor will they ever really give a crap about America. Most are spoiled little snot-nosed brats, who support anti-American groups and causes.

They hate the flag, but love the fag, and never seem to miss an opportunity to ridicule and spit on normal Americana.

I, for one, am not buying this "we care" crap from them at all. Tonight's "show" is just damage control for a crowd that knows full-well that their trash is finally being seen for what it is.

Sorry, but I'm inclined to agree with this poster. These are the same people whose endless shilling for the left contributed in large part to the disaster that was 9-11-2001.

Now the terrorists apparently had plans to attack Hollywood, and the law of self preservation kicks in full force. You'll have to forgive most of us who see right through this self serving charade.

Yeah well perhaps some of them just wanted to do what they could to help out victims of a terrible tragedy. I guess that never occurred to you. I think you could possibly have a Hollywood career ahead of you Mr. Rider! I heard somewhere they were doing a remake of "The Jerk"! You would be perfect for the starring role I'm sure!!
