***Pathetic TV Show, Mediocre "Stars", Our Heros Deserve Better***

And Liza with a z sounds drunk.....
What a night of disasters for TV
The first 30 minutes of the "heros" special was so bad, the acts so lame, no hits, no nothing......what a wasted opportunity.......
I couldn't take it any longer......
It seems that if the studio ain't in Nashville, the sound will be crap.......
The stars, on phones through the hour I could stand with no sound on, were never spoken to, and they were the only points of interest I could find.....all these stars and we're watching a bunch of absolutely mediocre performances by past icons who weren't even smart enought to play their hits......
I knew it was going to be a bust when Springstein DIDN'T play the only appropriate song he has, Born In the USA, and instead sang some nonesense about rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up and maybe another word or two.......
Hollywood, or whoever is going to take the fall for this absolute failure, should, IMHO get out of the business.

How about Paul Simon doing "Bridge Over Troubled Water"? That was the redeeming factor of an otherwise depressing show.

Let's see, start with a singer who was critical to New York Cops in his song "41 Shots". Add in John Lennon's
Imagine about no Heaven and "living for the day". Have a Scientologist talk about a dead priest. Add in anti-Bush Bon Jovi. Toss in a few more inappropriate songs and produce it in what looks like a basement full of candles. Yeah, that seems about right for people who don't get it. I'm still waiting for the Talking Heads to do Burning Down the House. That's about the only think of that would be less tasteful than what I've seen so far.

Woe! Far out man. With all these thousands of candles and love in the air, it looks like these utopians are just jumping at the chance to hold hands with the terrorists and sway while we all sing 'Imagine' and 'We Are The World'. But these poor dumb poeple don't even realize that the terroists wouldn't be holding hands, but instead would cut their throats with a 3 dollar box cutter and then blow them to pieces.

My goodness, some of you folks need to lighten up. I don't agree with most of these people from a political standpoint but at least they are raising some money for the 6000+ families who are going to need some financial support.
By the way, I thought U2 was great.
And Bruce Sprinsteen's "Born in the USA" is NOT a patriotic song. Take a closer listen to the words and you'll see it is a piece of liberal garbage.

Of course this is politically correct. A Canadian is singing this song, and using the word 'God'. Not an American.

I'm not kicking over anythinbg, I'm voicing my opinion of a lousy TV show hyped all day.....if it had been good, I would have praised it, and I was looking forward to it, but it stunk Oh it stunk alright, liberal scum think this pissy-ass display of their meager talent makes up for all the damage they have done to this country over the last few years.
I hate them all.

Let me try to understand whats being discussed here. 6000 americans were murdered and a group of americans, who you differ with politically, are trying to raise money for the victims of this act of war and your making fun of them. Who is being unamerican here? I am more conservative than most people and I have to say that this post sucks big-time. Time for enlightenment! These people supported the man most RESPONSIBLE for having over 6000 people murdered by Bin-Laudin! When teh embassy's in Africa were bombed (considered American soil) did Clinton take it seriously? No he lobbed a few cruise missles at empty terrorist bases, because the intelligence he had was previously decimated by his own hand years before; and Hollywood cheered and shouted Hosanna to their announted Messiah!
The USS Cole was attack by Bin-Laudin mercinaries. Bill Clinton has very reliable information on exactly where Bin-Laudin was, just begging to be killed, but Bill was too busy pardoning American Traitor Marc Rich for money; and Hollywood shouted Hosanna in the highest and threw partys for him raising millions of dollars for him! Where is good old Bill anyways? Oh thats right, he gave today didn't he. He went to a NBA shop and bought $342 worth of jerseys for the disadvantaged children. How noble coming from a millionare whos money was made in exchange for 6000 corpses and the cause of WWIII
Now heres a collection of Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Jim Carey and Julia Roberts. Each makes about 2 movies a year and gets $20 to $25 million a picture, but want you to give! Don't worry, I'm sure they'll give too. Not as much as they gave to the DNC, but they'll give.
If you can't see the pure obserdity with these idiots, no matter what the "good intentions" are, then you are lost!

Thanks for your post. This place has changed a lot from when I started posting. I looks like a lot of simple Freepers rather that this show did not take place at all. Maybe its just be too upsetting to see these "bad" people to do good and raise a ton of money to give to the heros?
