He evidently forgot General Patton's philosophy of war: you don't win wars by dying for your country; you win wars by making sure that the other SOB dies for his country.
That's why we shoot cruise missiles from far, far away at the other guy, so our guy stands a much better chance at not dying for his country.
HorseHillary! If you want to find out what those missles did (or most likely didn't do),you STILL have to send in somebody on the ground to take a look. Ever heard of "Bomb Damage Assessment" (BDA)? This is less true if using cruise missles for what they were designed for,fixed structures that are strategic targets.
