Pakistanis chant anti-U.S. slogans at a protest in support of Afghanistan's ruling Taliban and Osama bin Laden, prime suspect in the attacks on the United States last week, in Karachi, September 19, 2001. Around 1000 supporters of a militant Islamic group, fearing U.S. military strikes on Afghanistan, held the peaceful protest. Many people in Muslim Pakistan are opposed to Islamabad's support to Washington in its "war on terrorism". REUTERS/Akbar Baloch W |
Looks like we'll be going after a Crayola factory and not an asprin factory this time...

Have you guys seen this?
I can't help but wonder who did the banners for these protesters. I sincerely doubt that the average Pakistani "man on the street" knows English that well, or could even afford the materials to make many of the banners & signs I've been seeing.

It was at one time a part of the British Empire. I do, however share your doubts that the demonstrators did their signs all by themselves.

I don't laugh when I look at that picture: I see thousands of fanatical death cultists eager to cut your childrens' throats.
Many of them speak perfect English and have lived in the West, and will be coming over for a one way mission soon.

The moving crayon writes, and having writ,
Moves on; nor all thy piety and wit
Shall lure it back to scratch through half a line,
Nor all thy soap wash out a word of it.

Oh man, I was rolling on the floor when I saw the Toyota's with the overload of Afganies in the back. If they fired a weapon, it would probably flip the truck over.

like the Polish calvery against german tanks in WW2 what morons
Now I am pretty sure that you didn't mean to lump us polacks and the Afghans together, but you came dangerously close to doing so. A Pole against a Panzer division is far more noble than the Europeans who let the Nazis in without a fight. My ancestral people did what the could with what they had, and actually, upon a little study in the matter, you'll see they gave them a few good fights.
On the same topic:
Q: Why do the Parisians line their streets with trees?
A; Because German soldiers like to march in the shade.

They have them loaded in the launchers!
Oh noooooooooo!
To: Hegewisch Dupa
On the contrary and with no disrespect intended.
The Polish army worked with the tools of war that were available to them. Rather it was a comment on the futility of any other than a technological and professional equal of the US Armed Forces even attempting to stand in their way.
The Polish people have a long and honorable history and I in no way ment to tarnish it.
Now the French on the other hand...
Do you know what the definition of a French Resistance fighter is?
A waiter who overcharged a German.

Bravo! And it was a proper anology - in the way you meant it.

I am with you - when I see that picture I also see their "most advanced weaonry": a zillion morons willing to believe and act upon the most non-sensical bullsh*t the modern world has ever seen. It is truly frightening. A mind trashed on a perverted and twisted version of allah is a helluva weapon to oppose.
But we will overcome.

While I understand the humor, I would hope everyone who posts here understands the gravity of the situation. Hundred of thousands of people could die in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and even in India, depending on how the situation develops.

I understand your point, but I believe "would" is the operative word here, not "could"
