REVOKE STUDENT AND WORK VISAS

Posted on 09/18/2001 6:36:57 PM PDT by Ky_Patriot

The one outrage I have is the fact that the government has not spoken to Middle Easterners here in the US on student or work visas. These people are NOT citizens and are not entitled to our civil rights laws. Therefore, I'm calling on the Justice Department and the INS to revoke and expel all Arab foreign nationals holding student, work or travel visas. Ship them back and rid this country of the potential for most attacks from these assholes.

And also alienate people overseas, by making all of us look like paranoid idiots. Think it through. There are a lot of issues here

Oh, we couldn't let that happen. They might call us bad names or something.

Foreign nationals who are in this country on a visa are here as guests. They are not here by right. Revoking their visa does not infringe upon their rights.

I really think you're hot over this tradegy, and not thinking with your head. Please.

And let's throw out all the Red Chinese while we're at it. These guys are learning how to destroy us on our dime.

How many unkown acts of sabatage did locking up the japaneese people prevent? How many were saved from very angry americans; for their own good?

uhh, WE can't have Islamic men crashing planeloads of innocent people into buildings.

Might I inquire as to why the "WE" is totally capitalized? WE should be unwilling to allow THE ENEMY to win. When WE start to DEPORT people because of their beliefs, WE ALLOW THE ENEMY TO WIN.

Let us win. We need to protect and maintain our way of life. I'll be damned if I want to see any changes to my way of life because of all this.

If memory serves, at least some of the attackers in the first WTC bombing were here on student visas that were 2-3 years out of date. These people were not on anyone's radar screen while they ran loose in this country. I don't expect that the INS has much more of clue today.

Indeed, I am hot, though I'm still trying to be rational. Perhaps you could explain what rights would be violated if we were to cancel the visas of the people in this country who come from countries that we may be conducting military operations against? So far, all I've seen in rebuttal is a concern for personal finances. Frankly, if we suffer additional terrorist attacks from within, perpetrated by foreign nationals, our financial condition will be far more precarious. Nevertheless, as a stong advocate for the upholding of individual rights, I would be compelled to change my position if you can make a rights based case for not deporting at risk guests.

Your way of life has already been changed. It was changed the moment foreign nationals residing in this country hijacked four of our airliners and converted them to guided missiles. Your way of life will be changed even more if we sit idly by and it continues to happen.

Well, since it's been shown via research that the Japanese didn't have an extensive intelligence apparatus on the west coast, probably one or two, or none.

How many were saved from very angry americans; for their own good?

It's beyond me why you want to deport people, in order to protect them from us. What does that say about us?

Everyone is really hot these days, and understandably so. Please, let's not overreact.

Doing as you say would ruin the high-tech industry of which I work in.

And of course, that is more important than the potential Mass Murder of 6000 more Americans.

I am so happy that your fraternity looked at the person individually... in times of peace. It is unfortunate that the good have to go down with the bad right now but sending them home is actually good for both parties - It will be a temporary condition. We have terrorists who are so good at "blending in" with their kids, wife & house, nobody would ever suspect them.

Pulling the VISAS is the most non-invasive action we can take - it can get so much worse.

Isn't the fact that people are running around this country on expired student visas an internal problem? That's something that we should fix. I can't see where this is a reason for calling for mass deportations on our part. Mass deportations because of expired student visas? Looks like our government's fault. Please, let's calm down a bit.

Why, basic human rights. People should not be treated as cattle, regardless of whether or not they happen to be from your country. How can we ask for rule of law in other countries if we don't believe in that ourselves?

"We most certainly can, and should. Not only that, we should be discriminating on the basis of religion. Non-citizen guests that are muslim or from a hostile country should have their visas revoked immediately. The can re-apply to enter the US after the war is over. Those who are citizens are a completely different story. They should be afforded all the legal protections that the rest of us expect."

I agree with you 100%. With 6000 dead and 10,000 homeless in NY, hundreds of thousands grieving over lost loved ones, and hundreds of thousands now being laid off because of economic disruptions, I'm in no mood to worry about the feelings of non-citizen Muslim Arabs. They can reapply after we get this all sorted out.

What can I say? I'm astonished by this statement.

You can say:

"I am clueless and being PC is more important to me than my fellow citizen's lives".
Or "the economic risk is not worth catching the few remaining Mass Murderers who still walk among us".
Or some other inane statement; I'm sure you can think of many more.

No one proposes that we sit idly by. Those that did this will be punished. Killed. I refuse to cower, and change the way I live because of these fascists.

To post #12. Wrong. Universities make a lot more off American citizens. They wouldn't exist without TAXPAYER DOLLARS.

I get sick of them coming over and getting good educations from universities that our TAXPAYERS built. They wouldn't have any technology if it wasn't for them getting educated in the USA. The only thing they could do to us without their educations would be throw rocks at us.

We don't need their a$$e$ in our country. All we do is teach them how to harm us.

It says that we are, mosr of us, justifiably pissed off!

Except for the arrogant who believe that they are the center of the universe, and that their economic and investment life is worth more than real fellow citizen's lives.

The only thing you haven't verbalized is "a few lives are worth maintaining my pathetic little lifestyle."

What we believe and do as a culture demostrably has no effect whatsoever on certain other countries.

And is not likely to until a certain cartoon religion is wiped from the face of the earth.
