Now Pat says we were asking for it. I'm glad I don't have to share a foxhole with that turncoat. He'd be the first one trying to talk everyone into surrendering.

There is no vital American interest at risk in all these religious, territorial and tribal wars from Algeria to Afghanistan. Let us pay back those who did this, then let us extricate ourselves. Either America finds an exit strategy from empire, or we lose our republic.

The authentic voice of "Mr. Two Percent" showing yet again why he and his kook supporters have been totally marginalized in the world of politics.

No American interest, huh? An armed, fanatical group of people determined to bring down our entire country and way of life doesn't qualify, I guess.

What a yutz.

Pat actually sounded like he was taking his medications again until the last couple of paragraphs. He makes the mistakes there that explain why people consider him to be a nutcase.

America isn't a target because of any "meddling". We are a target because our culture is the dominate culture on earth, and they hate our culture. If we had been foolish enough to have elected this looney-tunes and followed his insane isolationist policies, the only thing that would have changed would be that we would be facing this fight against terrorism all alone. No other countries cooperating with permission to cross their airspaces,no shared intelligence,no joint military action, etc, etc, etc.

GO PAT,GO! Back into the closet where you have been hiding.

GO PAT GO away.

If we took your advice the price of oil would skyrocket.

Since we can't seem to stay out of the middle east we might as well occupy it and take the oilfields.

U.S. pays the high price of empire

This healthy policy debate should occur, eventually.

But for now, we must respond to the attack, in a thoughtful (and severe) way.

We also must evaluate our foreign policy, in a thoughtful way.

Knee-jerk reactions won't help anybody in the situation in which we find ourselves...

But as the president directs the moral outrage of his wounded nation, he will need the wisdom of Solomon.

The editor thought that “Patrick J. Buchanan” was a little too egocentric, so he made Pat change it to “Solomon”.

Osama bin Buchanan.

bin Laden wants the USA to leave the Middle East, to turn over the world's oil supply to bin Laden/Saddam.

Is Buchanan taking money for agreeing with bin Laden?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Pat wanted to be an American President but we let the news media and the rich elect our politicians. Americans never spoke out to give Pat a chance. The one think Pat has been calling for is the tighting up on our borders. Stop the flow of immegrants coming in. The worse thing other than them coming in is we support them. There are hundreds of programs for the people of every country in the world when they come here. Everythin handed to them, just for the asking. People from India get $50,000 tax dollars to buy a buisness. Many own the small hotels in this country and yes those hotels are a big money maker. They keep changing hands from one family member to other family member and with each change of hands the get $50,000 of your hard earned tax dollars. Our money is our worst enemy. Over taxed at Federal level and at the local level. We have been enslaved to every country in the world, we have been enslaved to our politicians. We struggle to live one life and our politicians live double and tripple lives. They change whores like we change socks, All at the expense of the tax payers. The GREEDY Clintons and the Democrats aren't happy the enormous salary they get so they make billions ofs deals that force oil prices up and today the are raking in the bucks. All the Clinton and DEms made money off Pardons of criminals and Terrorists. THE CLINTON RELEASED TERRORISTS FROM PRISON AND TODAY HITLARY SITS IN THE SENATE AND CLINTON TRAVELS AROUND THE WORLD PRETENDING TO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT HIS TERRORIST FRIENDS HAVE DONE. WHY, WHY, WHY ISN'T THE NEWS MEDIA REPORTING ON THE TERRORIST THAT CLINTON RELEASED. The news media and the Democrats still covering for the Clintons.

"Tempted though some may be to glean talking points from the tragedy, this is no time for sermonizing about failed intelligence or soured imperialism. This is a season for a heartsick nation to mourn our fallen and commend our heroes. Details will surface soon enough, but they won't fill empty chairs at dinner tables. Buildings can be reconstructed; broken families cannot." - Pat Buchanan, Sept 12, 2001

"In the presidential campaign of 2000, we failed to make foreign policy the issue. But what I said then retains relevance: "How can all our meddling not fail to spark some horrible retribution ...." - Pat Buchanan, Sept 18, 2001

Pat, why couldn't you take your own advise?
