GOD DID IT, PART II: Reader Randall Parker calls my attention to this Worldnet Daily article by Anthony C. LoBaido, which makes Jerry Falwell's offensive theodicy look sophisticated and kind. A small sample:

All that is evil in the world can be found in New York: MTV, the United Nations, the U.N. abortion programs, the Council on Foreign Relations, New Age Church of St. John the Divine, Wall Street greed, Madison Avenue manipulation and of course more confirmed AIDS cases than the rest of America combined. Let's remember the filthy sodomite gay parade last summer in New York. Let's remember all the New York politicians falling all over themselves to praise this sick spectacle.

And let's not forget that New Yorkers elected—by a landslide—the openly Marxist, treasonous and abortion-mongering, occultic Hillary to a Senate seat. All while fully knowing what she was all about.

So are we all innocent here in New York? Are we innocent with our porno, drugs, filthy Jay Leno monologues, our idolatry, materialism and consumerism? Innocent when Republican Governor George Pataki stands next to the blood-stained dictator of Communist China as he rings the opening bell for the stock market on Wall Street?...

Can the remnant in America help but honestly ask themselves: Is this the fulfillment of Revelation chapters 17 and 18 (Mystery Babylon) or has God raised up Shiite Islam as a sword against America?

These guys should apologize to their fellow Americans, but first they should apologize to God. Since WND chooses to end the piece with a plug for my friend Hugh Hewitt's book, implicating Hugh in the article's sentiment, I've asked Hugh for a response. I hope he will cancel his Worldnet Daily column. Free speech is essential as government policy, but there are some people, as Ramesh Ponnuru puts it in this excellent column, whom civilized people should not let into our houses. I agree with you, VinnyTex. This pile of sloop is an insult to Biblical wise people. It uses what I used to lable liberal tactics to give itself credibility. It's the worn out, BROADRUSH ALL and take verses taken out of context and the use of other discredible people like Nostradamus to further excite the terminally ignorant.

Why of WHY is their NO criticism of these Muslims? Since when it si right to murder people for the sake of a different government, supporting Israel and Christianity? I don't know what god these nutcakes follow but it certainly is not the Judeo Christian God.

It is quite obvious that no more mortal is perfect in ANY aspect, however up until Clinton we were anhonorable country not bombing people and asprin factories for the sport of it. CLearly this change should be obvious. Bin Laded has also had encounters with Bush Sr. to confirm that we are not the barbarians that they are.

Yes, America has its problems however these people are NOT God with many perfections of their own. Need I mention the perversion they have done to the Muslum religion? I hope not. If people want to see a much more advanced stage of moral decay, check out EUROPE. It will shock and horrify you. The U.S, looks like a bunch of Puritans compared to them.

I see your point and it is well taken, however you need to spend more time in the New Testament. Daniel of course is good too but there is more information on what to expect in the NT.

God did the enemies of Jews to punish them but in the NT it is a very different ball game. Read through some of the books on it and I think you'll have to agree.

Well, America does NOT deserve this, nor its sins are the cause of this, but the chief sin of abandoning national security goals and integrating a coherent culture that would support national security, something Political Correctness has been destroying. This is even worse than abortion in itself.

America's values and culture has been up for grabs. Whoever is most violent and vile will rule America.
