Those limits to liberties are acceptable to Metro Detroiters and most other Americans. A Detroit News poll Thursday found that 88 percent of Metro Detroiters are willing to "accept restrictions on movements such as metal detectors and military personnel in public places" to increase the nation's security from terrorist attacks.

Sorry, I didn't mean my reply to be taken personally, but rather by the self-proclaimed Libertines.

I do have a habit of taking a post by an individual and using it to extrapolate to an entire group. Sometimes it is inaccurate to do so. I apologize.

To you personally, though, not the Libertines.

"Get a grip, man."

Actually, the remark about freedoms was the first thing I said, whether you believe it or not. And I was brought up in Connecticut and my family is still there, so I am no stranger to New York.

The fact remains that more of our freedom disappears every time something like this happens. Anyone who can't see that needs to "get a grip" himself. BTW, "Carolyn" is not a name usually associated with "man."

Since aircraft are now some of the most potent weaponry, shouldn't we install trigger guards ?

"Get a grip, man" is a saying. However, if you prefer, I can adjust it to "Get a grip, woman (or girl, Ms., lady, take your pick).

And you're right, whether I believe the freedoms idea was the first thing that popped into your head is irrelevant. If it truly was, than I'm no longer shaking my head in dis-belief at your ability to fit a story to your agenda. What I'm doing instead is wondering what kind of person you can possibly be.

However, you assist me with the question by admitting you're from CT. As anyone from the Central-Northern NJ/NYC area will tell you, Connecticut may as well be a foreign country. You folks may consider yourself to be metro area, but you're not.

Thank God for that, anyway.

One of the most reasoned statements ever uttered.

After backing off here for a day, maybe I am too. Let the lunatics eat each other alive. I have bigger fish to fry.

See CJ salivate.

I see.

This is his dream come true. A war so as to legitimize his Jihad against all his imagined domestic enemies. I.E. all who don't think, act, believe as he does.

He wouldn't last a minute in the real world or a real war. He would be too busy playing Cultural Police. In fact his kind, just as the Nazi's, would waste precious resources making sure everyone was a good little American as defined by him and his kind.

Foriegn enemies would take a back seat.

He has his priorities. LOL!

Notice how he blames libertarians for everything? Dementia without bounds.

You don't need any rights!

So what if the FBI and other Federal Government agencies allowed this to happen!

Give up all your rights and be a slave and the government might protect you....
