There will always be folks around like yourself, who can't see past themselves. No doubt many will fight and die to protect your right to navel-gaze all day. No doubt, you won't bother to thank them...you'll be too busy criticizing.

I really don't see what you are fighting for. The Taliban, you, and Jim Robinson apparently agree on that freedom is a liability and a luxury that we simply cannot afford.

I thought Americans were supposed to believe exactly the opposite.

You'd have been such a joy during WWII, griping every second about that horrible rationing program, angry that you couldn't broadcast troop movements, and calling Roosevelt a murdering thug.

Of course, in WWII, you would not be tolerated very long.

Now you equate Jim and I with the terrorists? You are truly a sick puppy.

I'm not very bright. Please point out where JR says he wants to curtail any freedom.

Your idea of freedom of speech is all well and good on paper, but the fact is that sometimes the exercise of free speech can get some of our troops killed. If you can live with that, then blab all you want about our troop locations and intelligence strategy. You may then someday live in an Islamic Paradise like Afghanistan with all the freedom and liberty appurtenant thereto.

With a little Liberty comes a lot of responsibility. Liberty is not License. I would suggest that you engage your brain, if you have one, before engaging your mouth.

Jim Rob owns this site and makes the rules. If you want to dedicate a site to rumours about troop movements and intelligence matters, then you have the Liberty to do that. I just hope you can sleep knowing that you may be responsible for killing our troops.

freedom is a liability and a luxury that we simply cannot afford.

Do you think your freedom to reveal troop movements overrides the freedom of a soldier to expect the people he is fighting for to help protect him as he goes to battle?

Apparently a lot of FR people need a course in how to act during wartime. It all comes down to respect, duty and sacrifice. We respect the people who go to fight for us, they have their duty and we have a duty to help them from the homefront. They sacrifice and risk their lives for us, we can sacrifice our need to talk about where they are fighting to protect their safety.

If people are not willing to do that little for our soldiers and our country, they don't deserve having people do battle for them. I suggest they sign up immediately and play their wargames in the real war.
