The reason he had them on was because Barbara has been on LKL just about every night for the last 2 months with them, discussing Condit.

I saw the interview with Ted Olson and Brit Hume and it was very very touching.

This was a classy couple. My heart goes out to him in what must be a terrible terrible time of grief.

She sounds like a woman who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

What better tribute to one's life than that people remember you with the greatest of affection and respect.

She was a real lady and conservative advocate. A one-of-a-kind individual. They don't make them like that everyday.

You will be sorely missed by all, Barbara, even by those who never had the privilege of meeting you in person.

My sincerest condolences to family and friends.

Coincidentally, I purchased a card yesterday and sent a letter of condolence today to the Solicitor General, Theodore Olson, her husband.

Although I never met Barbara Olson, I always knew where she stood (eternally on the right side).
I will miss her combative and competitive spirit.

All I know, she is in a better place than I am, right now.Cry Havoc, and let slip the Dogs of War;
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth,
With carrion men, groaning for burial

Larry King mentioned during his interview with her husband that she was going to LA for a 'Media Conference' which Larry was also planning to attend.

Perhaps she was going there for both Politically Incorrect as well.

Then Ted added that she decided to change her trip from Monday to Tuesday because she wanted to see him on his Birthday which was 9/11/01......so terribly sad because he'll have to face the memory of the horrible loss of his wonderful Barbara every birthday.

He also added that when he fell exhausted into bed that night, he found a loving note from Barbara saying she was 'thinking of him'.....May God comfort him.

R.I.P. Barbara Olson.

Bush should honor her by naming Ted Olson as his first pick to the U.S. Supreme Court. The 'Rats wouldn't dare oppose him now.

Yes, Ronnie, she was a class at in every way. It will take a lot of us to fill the gap that she has left in fighting for what is good and right. I will miss this beautiful lady. My heart goes out to Ted.

God Bless Barbara Olson. For those who are interested, the October issue of Elle magazine has a lengthy article with pictures about Barbara and Ted...mainly about Barbara. Ironically, in the article Ted says that Barbara used to get death threats all the time, and he tried to keep them from her. Barbara Olson: brave patriot...we thank you for your sacrifice and send comfort and prayers to your family and loved ones.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I had not seen them. "Our Barbie" was so very special. She had a wonderful life, and a glorious marriage.

A correction on one of the captions (I know you did not write them) but Ken was not Barbara's son; he is from one of Ted's previous marriages. Barbara occasionally mentioned her two step kids and step grandkids, always in a positive and loving way. But she and Ted did not have kids together, biologically.

I am just furious to hear that Barbara was going to be on "Politically Ill-informed." I think that conserveratives that go on that show are wasting time, and now it looks as if there has been a life lost as a result. Had she been on the show on another day, we would still have her here among us. That way we could plead with her and all other conservatives. "Stop going on that show." It is 3-4 against ONE. What has been accomplished besides laughter and ridicule from the audience??? Any person watching with an open mind would sure not be persuaded by those type of shows. {p} {br} On another topic, Rush Limbaugh paid a terrific tribute to her during the third hour of his radio show Friday. He talked about how selfless she was--not thinking about her glory, but about her causes and educating people. Too bad she didn't think of herself and spend the whole day with her husband on his birthday. {p} {br} I will miss her terribly. Many blessings and prayers to the Olson family at this time and always.
