SPECIAL EDITION

On this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, President Bush gave one of the most inspiring speeches in our nation's history. In one of the most stirring moments, President Bush said, 'This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others; it will end in a way and at an hour of our choosing.'

Later in the day, the President visited the destruction in NYC, first flying over the rubble of the World Trade Center, and then witness the rescue and ruins first hand. In his rallying cry to the hundreds of rescue personnel, President Bush spoke to the workers with a megaphone. In the highlight of his speech in NYC, the President had the following exchange with the crowd:

RESCUER: I can hear you!

PRES. BUSH: I can hear you too! (crowd laughs)... And the world can hear you... (crowd cheers) and the people who knocked down these buildings will be hearing from all of us soon! (crowd erupts with chants of USA! USA! USA!)

Fittingly so, on this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, the nation and the world can take comfort in knowing that we have a man of passion and principle leading the greatest country in the world.

Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I LOVE seeing Bill and Hillary Clinton eating their hearts out!

It is indeed poetic justice to see the abject failure of a President and of a man, Xlinton, glaring with envy at this warm, loving, humble, complete man, George W. Bush, in an hour of triumph
(and there will be many more!)

Helicopters flying overhead right now...

Thank you, rintense, for these pictures.

I am so glad George Bush is President, and not Al Gore.

I get so ticked off when I read some FR critics describing the devotees of this nightly thread as "drooling, simpering," etc.>>

I second your feelings! Give us a break. We have suffered through enough to be allowed to appreciate the good qualities
of what we've been given on our own thread. Buzz off, critics!

To: If you guys have not seen Post#15 on THIS THREAD-you have really missed something terrific!
The pic in post #15 of our President with the mayor of NYC and govenor of NY, is one of the most powerful, caring, loving, compassionate, tremendous pictures of the entire travesty that befell our nation one week ago. Don't miss it.
