Did you read what I wrote? You want to know what I believe, I'll tell you what I believe.

Do you want me to tell you what YOU believe? Is that correct?

No ones words could stand up to constant examination and soundbite manipulation.

Y'know, in a way I'm out of place on this thread because the stuff he said about Planned Parenthood and ACLU and PAW, etc., while impolitic--not to mention downright dumb--at a time like this are at least open to reaonable debate.

It was the cr*p he and Robertson have been spouting about how "Islam is a threat to all civilization" that riled me up. How DARE these two fundamentalist "Christians"--who'd love NOTHING more than to be able to rule with an iron-fist the way the Taliban do in Afghanistan--try to take that low road?

It was unconscionable, especially at a time when good, honest, law-abiding citizens in this nation of ours, who are of the Islamic faith, are in peril of being terrorized by red-necks and whackos who are no better than the terrorists they excoriate.

This is much more than a few fanatics, and I resent the media fot trying to portray it that way.

Well, I'm portraying it that way, and I'm being accurate.

Let's say there are 100,000 fanatical Muslim extremists under arms right now. Many times the probable number but let's use that for a starting point.

That means that LESS THAN 0.001% OF THE WORLD'S MOSLEMS ARE TO BLAME FOR WHAT IS TRANSPIRING.

Sure others may sympathize with them, but with those numbers it just ain't a going concern. I'm not buying it, and neither should any rational, thinking human being.

Point out specific passages which claim Jewish superiority? The Jews were slaves more often than not. Women submit to your husbands, husbands love your wives as christ loves the church. I see a bigger burden on men for their treatment of their wives and famalies. Mixing fibers is not immoral, it is mixing with peoples of immorality that was forbidden. God warned the Jews of mixing with people who openly welcomed sexual immorality , child sacrifice, and other deviancies. If you question the Bible as being the word of God because you feel the God of the Bible is intolerant, perhaps it is your veiw of objective truth which is scewed. As men have done for generations you can create a God to allow for human desires, this way all actions are acceptable and void of consequences, morality becomes adaptable and conformable.

I just hate it when someone has strong opinions on a subject in which they are totally ignorant.

Of course I guess there is a chance you are just dishonest, rather than stupid.

I hear you, but I heard from Ravi Zacharias that one should not judge a faith by it's failures (in regard to the whoring the hijakcers did). I would rather judge the fruits of that tree by it's just fruits, for (as I heard a "former" muslim say recently) "Every muslim in the world know that Islam is a faith that is 'carried under the sword.'" This is their defintion of success, violence and intolerance. It is ironic that for the protection of our children we come to a place where we have to deal with them violently, but that is the nature of war.

I've known Arabs and Persians and I didn't find them dislikeable. I don't think I ever took their rhetoric seriously though, I saw them burning our flag on campus. I actually had them influence my opinion on Zionism. I've never talked with an Israeli to hear the other side however. I knew they hated Jews, I knew they would say they liked Americans but hated our government. I never believed they would do something like this. I doubt the many who planned this and supported the major effort this thing took were really much different than the ones I talked with. Even today, many Arabs will tell you this was justified what was done Tuesday, that it was a lesson they needed to teach us.

I'm sure there were lots of good Japanese, Germans, Brits, etc. War means you win or you lose. We were fortunate our loss in Viet Nam didn't cost more. Usually losing a war has terrible implications. Losing the next one just may have truly terrible implications. The fear I have is that we won't even fight it. We need to realize there is a "Tree" in the world that bears poisonous fruit. It is Islam. If we go "detoxify" one of the fruits it has brought, our children will have to deal with the tree later. Better to cut it off now. Terrible thing to say in our "tolerant" world, but if we love our children we will do this. Of course we can already see the calls to "restraint". Unbelievable, really as the pile is still smoldering, but there it is.

I'm not exactly one of those tolerant ones. I don't know though if there are good Muslims, but we can soon let them prove if they are or not. There are now 2 choices. Not our fault, we didn't want it, but they brought it on. A Jihad and A Crusade. They will support one or else the other. And they'd better decide very quickly because if they aren't with us, we can assume they are against us.

Well said. An alternative to a heavy hand being used to eradicate Islam would be a heavy hand to force Islamic nations to allow missionary efforts in their countries. If they won't, then get rid of the governments by whatever means necessary I'd say.

I don't think we can make a Biblical case to force them to allow missionaries. But, we can make a case under Romans 13 that Bush has the authority to do what is required to provide for the security of our future. Let us hope that he sees the wisdom in crushing all these militant Isalmic states. Not just Iraq and Afghanistan, but Syria, Egypt, Libya, Algeria. The leaders all are kowtowing at the moment, but they will gladly join with Iraq and Syria if they could begin to get the upper hand against us, bet on it.

To what extent can political and military power furthur Evangelism? I don't know. Perhaps God wants to do it all supernaturally. Then again, civil government is of God. NATO as a civil government could force some bad acting nations to behave.

I could also envision human waves of missionaries willing to die while fulfilling the Great Commission. I suspect the devil would like that strategy. Some heavy handedness in the name of human rights is in order. Nationalist Islam encourages wholesale murder, rape, and various degrees of slavery to be inflicted upon infidels.

Dontcha luv how quick our liberals are to smear Falwell and Roberson with their Arafat and Ben Ladin brush? I don't believe I have ever heard of either of these men of God suggesting anyone be killed for anything. The reason they need to do this is obvious to any Christian, our "journalists" don't want to hear what Falwell and Robertson have to say, "I am THE way, the truth, and the light". If they "heard" this, they would have to change their lives, which they aren't willing to do.
