I hear you, but I heard from Ravi Zacharias that one should not judge a faith by it's failures (in regard to the whoring the hijakcers did). I would rather judge the fruits of that tree by it's just fruits, for (as I heard a "former" muslim say recently) "Every muslim in the world know that Islam is a faith that is 'carried under the sword.'" This is their defintion of success, violence and intolerance. It is ironic that for the protection of our children we come to a place where we have to deal with them violently, but that is the nature of war.

I've known Arabs and Persians and I didn't find them dislikeable. I don't think I ever took their rhetoric seriously though, I saw them burning our flag on campus. I actually had them influence my opinion on Zionism. I've never talked with an Israeli to hear the other side however. I knew they hated Jews, I knew they would say they liked Americans but hated our government. I never believed they would do something like this. I doubt the many who planned this and supported the major effort this thing took were really much different than the ones I talked with. Even today, many Arabs will tell you this was justified what was done Tuesday, that it was a lesson they needed to teach us.
