"There is no way that more innocent people dying will set anything right" Tell that to the cowardly murders that did this to our country...NOT US It's too late for that type thinking now!
that's not exactly "their way of thinking", but then you are being KIND and Good - which they bank on.
the world is not safe if they are allowed to do an act so horrific, and not punished severely and for as long as it takes.
Being NICE and a Free country is what they count on, and took full advantage of to BOMB us and KILL 20,000-30,000 innocent lives.

Thanks Riley. The Pond is not as large as many might think. Nice posting MadIvan.

"we can promise to help rip the living entrails out of the bastards."
Ivan, how sentimental. I haven't heard, "I'll have your guts for garters." since I was in the Eastend with my brother. It brings back some interesting memories.

Because we are right, because we are the exemplars of civilisation, we will triumph, I am sure.I would add: and because we have some big mfing ordinance and men with balls of brass.

Thanks Ivan, throughout the 20th century England has been the only true ally we have had, in the coming months and years I expect they will be one of the very few who stand beside us in the war against evil. God save the queen.

Many thanks. United we'll stomp the bastards.

Many thanks. United we'll stomp the bastards.
Stomp the bastards and make the survivors live in eternal fear, I hope.

Thank You MadIvan! I lived in Europe for 4 years. When I desperately needed to feel "at home" I would make a pilgrimage to London. I am grateful to England for the historic bond that we have shared through good times and adversity. The words of Winston Churchill have been especially comforting and inspiring during the past bleak days. Please flag me for any information about the upcoming ceremonies.

I saw this on TV three times (and that still wasn't enough). You couldn't help but cry -- it was such an overwhelmingly beautiful gesture on the behalf of our friends in Britain.
Even Peter Jennings (gag) sincerely choked up.
God Save the Queen!

MadIvan, is there any word from Mrs. Thatcher? I haven't seen anything anywhere.
To: BlessedBeGod
They had a brief clip with her on the NBC news last night, signing a condolence book at the US Embassy.

That might have some small effect on the outcome. ;)
