Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001 Vile Media Make Snide Remarks About Bush - Rather, Jennings, More
Now, more than ever, Americans need to support our president.
The big media apparently don't think they are U.S. citizens.
Mancow, the major morning drive-time host in Chicago, expressed outrage this morning on his show about Peter Jennings' comments on ABC.
Mancow noted to his audience Jennings' outrageous introduction to the president just before he addressed the nation in the middle of this emergency.
Mancow paraphrased Jennings as saying that "some presidents are articulate and some are not."
A NewsMax reader was similarly shocked and e-mailed us about CBS anchorman Dan Rather's introduction yestderday to President Bush's speech.
The reader quoted Rather as introducing Bush by saying, "No matter how you feel about him, he is still our president."
And NBC's Tom Brokaw has already started the media's blame game - blaming, guess who - George Bush!
A NewsMax reader was just watching Tom Brokaw interview Gen. Schwarzkopf.
The reader paraphrased Brokaw's question:
"We don't want to blame anyone, but do you think the Bush administration was negligent in not getting actively involved in the Mideast peace process while all the violence was going on?"
Our reader said he was "outraged that NBC would even consider such a statement let alone broadcast it!"
Other NBC talking heads have made comments about Bush's lack of eloquence.
NBC's Campbell Brown just this morning broadcast in front of the White House, and said people had complained about the president's lack of confidence when he spoke. She went on at length, saying that people hoped the president could give us a sense of confidence. She did not say Bush was giving Americans confidence.
Excuse us, Campbell. The president has been eloquent. He has been confident.
Real Americans support him 100 percent.
We are not so sure why the networks are spending time to analyze and criticize his speaking skills during a national emergency.
For sure, Americans are fed up with the communication skills of elitists such as Jennings, Rather, and you, Campbell!
It occurred to me then that these ignorant dimwits (a), will use any opportunity, including an unconscionable attack on the United States to trash Bush and (b), have absolutely no idea about the enormous security precautions that go into effect in a situation like this.
Of course, if the rapist were still President, we would've heard how "Mr. Clinton's whereabouts are under tight security so he can provide leadership during this national tragedy..."
It is of no surprise to me at all that these people say these types of things...its what they BELIEVE!
The Leftist "BLAME AMERICA FIRST" Media
and the "BLAME AMERICA FIRST" Dems
and the "BLAME AMERICA FIRST" Envir0-Marxists,
and the "BLAME AMERICA FIRST" bureaucrats and academic Marxists,
are really FAR more DANGEROUS than are a few terrorists
--- LONG TERM ---
to the success of,
and the survival of,
the United States
as a truly free society.
Ministry of Propaganda.
Here's a challenge for you.
PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH is coming to New York tomorrow. You know the place, it's where they have been chasing terrorist suspects and bomb scares for the past several days.
WHY DON'T YOU: MESSRS Rather, Brokaw and Jennings...walk right with him.
Mr. Rather, you walked with the newly elected President Clinton interviewing him in Missouri during the floods. You remember, you had a co-anchor then; Connie Chung. When the to-be-impeached-for-lying President wished you the best of luck with the new co-anchor scheme, you replied, "Well, if we are half as successful as you and the First Lady, we will be doing just fine." But you weren't in any danger then were you? Well, let's see how brave you are...Walk with President Bush tomorrow.
Mr. Brokaw, you wrote a very fine book about a brave generation. You no doubt did quite a bit of research on bravery and sacrifice. But there doesn't seem to be any mention of your name associated with these virtues in any shape, form or fashion...anywhere. Now let's see how brave you are...Walk with President Bush tomorrow.
Mr. Jennings, you were in Sarajevo several years ago viewing the ruins and carnage first hand. You walked around Sarajevo in a bullet-proof vest while the 10 year old boy serving as your tour guide was clad only in a T-shirt. While we didn't get to see how you got from one place to another, we could only guess if you were wearing a bullet-proof vest for your on-screen appearances, you must have been transported around the city in something similar to the Pope-Mobile.
You especially have been critical of our President's actions and courage. Let's see how courageous you are now...Walk with President Bush tomorrow wearing the same type of attire that the President will be wearing.
However, I suggest that Bush shouldn't associate with such losers. Let him walk with some class people, Brit Hume, Tony Snow, etc.
Besides, Rather, Jennings, and Brokaw can't go to the scene. Too much dust. It sticks to slime.
If we boycott the stations and their ADVERTISERS, we will prevail.
But, Americans, including conservatives are: too addicted to television, continue to buy the NY Times, and are too busy to WRITE LETTERS to television stations and their advertisers, so everything will remain the same: the left-wing press will prevail and continue to brainwash Americans.
