I wish you and others would drop the second term BS. This is not a matter to be handled just to score political points. The fact of the matter is that we do not yet have the resources in the area to engage in full scale war. Lobbing a few missles may appease some of you for the time being, but it will not get the job done. We'll have to go in and root the bastards out. That takes, time, troops, and equipment. They are not there yet.

You're right it will take time. I posted this in another thread but it fits in this one as well.

I held my nose, closed my eyes and voted for Bush, and if I don't like things he does, I'll say so, but in this he is doing ok. He said we'll track them down. We already know that some of these terrorists trace back to Osama bin Laden, and the United Arab Emirates.

When Saddam attacked Kuwait, it took 8 months to get our military in position to retaliate to Saddam for his acts, and I suspect that it will take us a few months too, to be in a position to do the same. I suspect that we will declare war against terrorists, just as we declared war against the Barbary pirates many years ago. The precedent has been set that you do not need to declare war against a country or nation.

It is unthinkable that the US will let these acts of terrorism go unpunished. Think about it. The US goes to the assistance of other nations all the time, and we retaliated against Iraq to assist Kuwait. We had better retaliate then, when it is our own people who are the targets. As I said, it is unthinkable that we will not. But, like with striking against Saddam took time, so will this. jmo
