Bush not asking for Declaration of War
President George W. Bush

Posted on 09/12/2001 8:04:51 AM PDT by Heisenburger

We all just saw Bush on TV talking about investigating this tragedy and generally pussy-footing around the issue. What Bush is forgetting is that we are sure of who has done this, and there is no reason anymore for investigations. If Bush will not ask Congress for a Declaration of War against Afghanistan, I say Congress should force his hand by passing such a declaration immediately.

I suspect that Bush is playing his cards close to his chest. I support him fully. God Bless President Bush, God Bless American.

For anyone to criticize Bush at this time undermines the unified front that should be projected by all Americans.

You're forgetting the adults are back in charge

I can't tell you how comforted I was seeing John Ashcroft instead of Janet Reno yesterday.

Would you like him to bomb another aspirin factory or how about a empty camp. Use your head, first we must find out who did this and I hope he finds out where he is before he starts throwing bombs.

I say we go in to Afganistan and "KickButt". Our leader should General Hillary Rodham Clinton PATTON. To support her we should give a rifle to every member of the National Oranization of Women. Our ralling cry should be "Abortion for All".

Bush was in a meeting in the White House. Historically, when a request is made by the President for a declaration of war against an entity or country, it is done in Congress. Today was just a photo op. I sincerely doubt that we will NOT declare war.

No, I think I scare some people as I see thru their hidden agendas. Many of you hate any and all Arabs and will never be happy until the US makes an enemy of 1 billion people and fight a 2 thousand year religious war.

War is Hell. We respond. If they set off a tactical nuke, then we carpet bomb all Arabs with REAL NUKES. If their tactical nuke is in Dallas, and I get it, just know I was proud to die for the destruction of every Arab in the mid-east. This is not Sept 10th, we are at war, innocent people die. Our job during war is to make sure more of their innocent people die than ours.

Sometimes we strike before the American people are told we are at war.

"we are sure of who has done this"

Why do you say "we" when you don't know what I know or the CIA knows or the NSA knows or Bush knows? Suspecions, yes. Sure, certainly not yet. I am not saying we need hard proof and I'd like to see some action begin real soon. Bin Laden is already an indicted terrorist. Afghanistan had better produce him immediately or we should start, as the military says, "preparing the battlefield."

First off, watch it with the language. I take exception to the use of the P word.

Secondly, with each statement he makes, his tone becomes more and more terse and adamant. He will let his actions speak louder than words. I have every faith in him and in Congress to go get these scum.

I have a sneaking suspicion he would mean all Arabs. He has a hidden agenda.

Read the post again. I called for a declaration of war against Afghanistan and Iran. I did not mean all arabs, because I certainly believe we have good allies in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. I have no hidden agenda. I simply want full retaliation, nuclear if possible.

Look, I am getting a little tired of these trite "Bush didn't say or do exactly what I - I - I - I - I thought he should - so I - I - I - I am disappointed, will find another leader, will not support him, will not vote for him.

Bush is leading this country very effectively and is not your personal superman to do your bidding.

Maybe you need to take your support elsewhere - you sure do not give it to Bush or the country.

What this country needs is support and unity - not complaining wimps telling Bush how to do his business although they were not elected, not qualified, not in a position to do anything but complain or support and they choose to complain and add to our problems.

Get over yourself.
