Front page story on Pentagon attack titled 'This is on the Scale of Pearl Harbor'...

Lead editorial titled simply, "WAR"..."It has been 60 years since the U,S. homeland sustained an aggression of this magnitude. The country responded then without panic but with an iron determination to defend itself and punish the aggressors. the response today must be as decisive - to the mass murderes who carried out the attack, and to any nation or nations that gave them shelter and encouragement....But if this assault originated overseas it is not a question for law enforcement. It is an act of war, and must be treated as such."

My gawd, the Post is actually thinking straight. I'm glad to hear that this is considered an act of war, because it is. Will the Post have the courage to draw the logical conclusions from this thought?

My wife is German and we talked with her German working class relatives and they said that was the same reaction in Germany. The decent people of the world will join us. Heck, even President Putin came out with a statement that Russia would support any actions the US takes. Putin's not exactly a friend either.

This is way beyond political reaction. The American people are not going to care, what any other country says, when the military does what Bush decides for it to do.

Come on, why close the borders? We shut down ALL air flights, and if this attack was as coordinated as it looks, then anything we did and do is too little too late.

I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop, bin Laden knows exactly what we would do after the hijacking and collisions succeeded, he was finished with aircraft, now, what comes next? What other act of terror, what other mass killing can he get away with through the security that is now in place?

Yes, They have declared war, now question is, are they done for now, or are there other things in the works, just waiting to catch us and our loved ones by surprise.

I am angry, and completely behind the president in whatever he choses to do about this, I just hope it is SWIFT, overwhelming, and devastating to the country and or terrorist organization that did this.

I pray for war, not so our boys might die, but so we can rediscover our worth.

Not to mention the worth of the American white male. When WW3 starts all of a sudden white males will become extremely important people again, inventing the new technologies that will save many Americans from death. WW2 precipitated the invention of jets, rockets, nuclear power, and the computer. WW3 will probably bring us artificial intelligence, robots to replace soldiers, and biotechnology breakthroughs. The resulting inventions will fuel another economic boom.

While I agree entirely with the sentiment of the letter, I have yet to see any proof whatsoever that there were bombs detonated within the WTC. I'm an architect and have spoken extensively with structural engineers today, and to a man, it is agreed that the catastrophic failure of both Towers was consistent with a long-span steel structure in which a fire could have weakened the floors in which the plane entered and the weight of the building above the compromised floors ultimately caused a catastrophic failure and the resulting dynamic loads of the collapsing structure would be sufficient to take out the remainder of the building not unlike a series of dominoes.

This by no means lessens the tragedy one iota, but I believe it is important to get the story as correct as we can...do you have any evidence of bombs within the WTC?

Please inform me if I'm mistaken, but I haven't heard any report of bombs involved today in the Trade Center collapse.

Be careful what you ask for, veronica. Events such as what took place today in America are but the calling card of the Antichrist and his one-world government/economy/religion.
