I can roughly quote William Cohen from his live interview on CNN within the last 10 minutes: "We are going to have to make some tough decisions in this country. We are going to have to "garbled" when making choices between security and civil liberties."

Brokaw just did an apparent prepared spiel about how Free we've been, and very light security internally. Then commented that it will be changing a lot now.

But today, would you even get on a plane that did not check? We DO give up some freedoms for security. After today, you think you have security?
No, Bunny, you've just given up your freedoms and have not one iota more of meaningful security. You've traded liberty for the illusion of security.

I believe they've been pushing for powers to increase their ability to spy on we the people. At least under clinton.

"Nuke 'em All and let God sort 'em out. That's not funny...
But it's funny!

Barbra Olsen just confirmed as being on the plane that was crashed into the Pentagon. She called her husband, Ted, before the crash on a cell phone. The passengers had been herded to the back of the plane. What a horrible day for them. How strange and unimaginable a tragedy for the Olsens. And the same for everyone else. We all prepare mentally for heart attacks or car wrecks. But no one ever really thought of dying this way in America before.

In other words,
we (the peons) must give up our freedoms to be secure!!
If we do, we deserve the chains that most assuredly will be placed on our ankles and wrists....thanks, RINO Cohen....I'll take the words of the Founding Fathers over Comrades like yourself.

I am glad Cohen and his crew are no longer in power. We know what he would choose I guess it seems obvious to me that he's referring to massive gun control efforts.
"Sure let's just go belly up for these creeps, why don't we?"

It is scary when they want to march in our streets and not take the fight overseas. Is it "scary" to have your luggage searched at the airport? Is it "scary" to have some safety precautions in place?

"Sorry William. That's not the 'tough choice'. The choice is whether to nuke Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and Libya off the face of the planet to ensure that this never happens again. We say, "You kill 10,000 of ours. We incinerate 10,000,000 of yours." Sorry if this sounds like a 'war-monger' but we need to have an overwhelming response."I'm afraid, and sickened you're absolutly correct.
Those countries, every damned one of 'em as you listed, were all or in part responsible for what has happened today.
NO one will ever convince me otherwise.
It's now become a full-scale war; we've taken our hit & now it's time they're given their doese of reality.

In war, there are no innocent victims.
"Let nobody think that Americans are incapable of facing this foe and defeating him. Let nobody think that this country is any less able to face the naked days" than she was in 1861, in 1917, in 1941 and 1950. We shall rise to this. We shall take our revenge. We shall absorb these blows, and strike back a hundred times harder. Let America's enemies crow today: Tomorrow they will tremble, and weep."
- John Derbyshire

Those countries, every damned one of 'em as you listed, were all or in part responsible You know, I have to agree... and I don't feel too sorry for the women and children either (well maybe the children, as they are probably just doing what they're told is right), after seeing them dancing in the streets. Those old ladies and young kids thumbing their noses at the deaths of tens of thousands of American Citizens who were just going about their business.
