One thing that I find ironic about Chomsky is that, as you point out, his whole political philosophy is godless, but his linguistic theory dealt a death blow to one of the most godless ideas of all, Behaviorism. I get a chuckle out of evolutionists who never dare to approach the problem of the evolution of language with a naive belief that language is somehow just picked up from hearing tons of input and assimilating it. Study of animal communication, even primates that have been taught sign language, as an explanation for how language evolved are so naive as to be laughable. And it was Chomsky who, more than anyone else, has shown that human capacity for language is so vastly more complex than previously assumed.

Excellant point.
There is coming a day for us all when we will be in astounded awe at the "nature" of life on this planet.
All profound protestations explaining 'how' life is and operates will be so foolish unless we have begun our concept with the assumption, the Given, that God IS.
In Mathmatics, Physics, the Sciences and Astronomy there are 'Givens'. No proof is required for them, yet we want to be so scientific and demand a proof for Faith. In a relationship with God, Faith is a Given.
