In the 2022 midterms, it was much more even, with Dems getting a net gain of one Senate seat and two Governorships, while the GOP gained 9 net seats in the House.
As a rebuttal, your point LITERALLY does not matter.
There is a definitive cause to the high gas prices that can be laid directly at Trump's feet: his decision to launch unilateral strikes on Iran (at Israel's advice and against the advice of his own counsel), thus resulting in the Strait of Hormuz (one of the biggest shipping lanes in the world, and one of the most important for energy transit) locking down tight for months on end.
Nobody cares that Biden and Obama may have had higher gas prices when accounting for inflation; they care that gas prices are higher now than they were at the beginning of the year. And everyone can point the finger at Trump, and justifiably so.
It's as simple as that.
If they think gas prices are high now, wait till the Rats start enacting their "green" policies and force people into solar and wind.
