A new poll has found that Republican Ken Paxton has moved past Democrat James Talarico as the race for U.S. Senate enters its final days.
The poll by Quantus Insights surveyed 1,221 likely voters between Oct. 26 and 28. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.2%.
Republicans made up the majority of respondents at 46.7%, with Democrats comprising 39.4% of respondents and Independents at 13.9%.
Texas Senate race is a dead heat
The Quantus poll found that 48.7% of respondents backed Paxton, while 47.6% backed Talarico. Only 2.2% of respondents said they were undecided.
According to the poll, Talarico holds the lead with women, independents and Hispanic voters. Paxton leads among men, suburban and rural voters.
Both candidates have been crisscrossing the state this week, while polls have consistently showed one of the narrowest margins in a Texas Senate race in decades.

Posted this in another thread- i have a friend who lives in Austin, Texas i spoke with this evening... He’s more moderate than conservative though he’s turning more and more conservative....he hated Trump for backing Paxton over Cornyn, as he hates Paxton...
I asked him, “did you vote for Talerico?” His response, “I would never vote for that freak” then went on to tell me all about Talefreako...
He told me the people he speaks with in Austin are split but he believes Texans are voting in droves early (as he did) to purposely vote against Talerico...
This guy is by no means a hardcore conservative but believes talerico stands no chance...
May God make it so.
I was excited for a second.
Tammy Talarico should lose by more than van loads of fake ballots.
The day before/of the election you will see all the polls tighten...so the media can say the electorate changed massively at the last minute.
Fox 7 Austin. Austin, the cradle of liberal idiots in Texas.’Nuff said.
Interesting how these things become too close to call at the last minute. 🤔
Yeah. “Too close” - so don’t claim anything suspicious about Paxton winning easily. Public attitude just changed, conveniently, exactly as much as needed, in exactly the right direction, to pretend it was never a lie. For a dozen straight election cycles.
(For those outside the Lone Star State, the most played negative ad against Paxton shouts about his "Epstein sweetheart deal" concerning Adam Hoffman, who presently lives in Nebraska as a known and registered sex offender.)
He was never behind.
And in other breaking news, the sun is set to rise in the east. These polls are just the same thing we see EVERY FREAKIN' TIME. After a few months of (effectively) PR for the 'Rats, they gotta try to burnish their 'cred' (what little they got) by tightening their numbers. Piss on 'em all!!
Only one poll counts, and it is about to be released sometime after the polls close in Texas on November the 3rd.
Perhaps Talarico never led by all that much in the polling numbers, but we shall not learn of this until well after the fact.
Failed PSYOP.
One of my kids said he voted all R but not for Paxton. One says he is voting for the Libertarian. The other two are squishy as well. They get all their news from Reddit. Propaganda. One sent me an article from the Texas Tribune. They would not lesson to reason.
Exactly. Typical lib news tactic.
Pump up the candidate all season long and then suddenly announce “it’s too close to call” when the election draws near.
Like so many repooblicans paxton has one main thing going for him, he is not talifreeko.
Repooblicans have little to crow about when their platform is: “I’m not the other guy.”
Does anybody know the last election who were theclosest to predict the Senate race, the last time in Texas. What are they saying now?
Did he say why he hates paxton?
Claims corruption...
