Back in the day, young people gravitated towards rock n' roll and drugs. Now, it's Islamic sharia law.
A huge chunk of young Americans are giving sharia law a thumbs up, according to a new survey from Rasmussen Reports and Our Republic, which found 43% of citizens between the age of 18-24 have a positive view of it.
It's nearly as popular with Americans between the age of 25-29 too, with 39% saying they have a "mostly positive" or "somewhat positive" view of sharia. In fact, sharia is more liked than disliked among young Americans, as the survey found 36% of respondents between 18-24 and 25-29 said they had a negative view of it.
And there's a clear generational divide on the topic. Only 16% of Americans who are 40 or older have a positive via of sharia, while 62% said they have a negative view of it.
Something else that jumped out from the survey: young people believe America's ties to Israel are a bigger concern than sharia law.
In response to the question, "What poses a greater threat to America's future: sharia law or America's alliance with Israel?" 22% of 18-24-year-olds said sharia, compared to 34% who said America's alliance with Israel.
The survey comes as the number of Muslims living in the U.S. has nearly tripled this century, going from about 1.50 million adherents in 2000 to 4.50 million in 2020.

Great example of why the voting age should be raised to 50. Nothing like voting for something you know little about except how perhaps to spell it. I’d love to see all those young female libs walking around in Burkas though.
Or just parroting the cool thing to say. Give them a quiz about what Sharia really is, and I’ll bet less than 10% could pass.

Read the questions in the survey... Not one mention of what Sharia law is or it’s punishments so stupid people i.e.50% of Americans would support it as written in the survey.
When you ask a half asked question you get half assed answered.
Do you support stoning a woman to death for infidelity?
Do you support Muslim men marrying 12 year old women, having sex with them and be allowed to beat them if they show any part of their body except their eyes in public?
Etc..etc.
Ignorant, not stupid. I speculate that 80%+ of that 43 percent with a favorable opinion of SL haven’t a clue what it actually is.
