Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Friday the US is barring all transactions with the International Criminal Court and told America’s allies he expects their help in reining in the “rogue” body.
Rubio declared in a statement the US was moving to cripple the court’s economic reach for threatening to bring cases against American troops, border agents and politicians.
“For decades now, both Republicans and Democrats have rejected the idea that the International Criminal Court has any power to prosecute American citizens, to prosecute military servicemembers, or political leaders because America never joined the court,” Rubio said in a video posted on X.
“We don’t need that court. And we don’t want it,” he added. “But now, globalist experts that are an ocean away — they don’t care what you think — they want the International Criminal Court to do more, including the prosecution of American citizens and service members that are defending their country.
“They want to prosecute Border Patrol agents that are protecting our nation’s borders, and they want to prosecute our elected leaders that are ensuring our national security.
“They want more power, and they want it at the expense of our sovereignty as a nation. And President Trump will never allow the International Criminal Court to prosecute Americans,” he also said.
“Our message is clear,” Rubio concluded, “the United States and the American people are not subject to the jurisdiction of this fake ICC. Both parties agree on this, but only President Trump has the resolve to take the action needed to end this threat once and for all.

Just take warrants out for anyone on the ICC that takes a warrant out against a US Citizen.
If their so-called judges and prosecutors start taking people, we will have to imprison them as hostage takers.

When you have to shooot, shoot! Don’t talk.
Philosophically speaking, all courts derive their sovereignty and authority to subject people to it’s processes and judgements based on those people’s willingness to grant it that power. It doesn’t matter if that court exists in a democracy, monarchy, a dictatorship, or even if a primitive tribe brings someone before a tribunal of elders. If it’s a group, and that group has power, and they accept the authority as a group to subject themselves to it, then it can pass judgement.
The ICC doesn’t have authority unless we give it to them.
I should say, the international court doesn’t have authority unless we give it to them, OR, unless they have the power to take it by force.
Credibility exists only in the consent of the persons and institutions who have willed this entity into existence, and who have a basic agreement as to its efficacy. Otherwise, they are but a band of shrieking monkeys sitting on the overhead tree canopy, hurling down handfuls of fecal matter.

I believe there is a standing Authorization to Use Military Force against the ICC if any American military member or official is held by the court.

b/c of the court’s actions regarding Israeli P/M Netanyahu.
The US government opposes the ICC’s investigation and its issuance of arrest warrants for
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant.
Trump argues that the ICC has no jurisdiction or legitimacy over non-member states like Israel.
Trump signed E/O’s and Secy of State Marco Rubio has implemented sweeping financial sanctions, property restrictions, and visa bans targeting ICC officials, judges, and prosecutors, as well as expanding pressure on the institution as a whole.

The ICC just wants to prosecute Trump.
And anyone who agrees with him.
A good place to start is to withdraw all US funding to the “United” nations. See how long that last before the UN folds.
