In an extraordinary example of individuals from hostile countries working together to save lives, Israeli media that spoke with airport authorities are saying that the alternate pilot crew who landed a hijacked flight safely included a Russian and a Ukrainian.
Israel Hayom identified the brave off-duty pilots’ nationalities after speaking with officials at the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The temporarily hijacked FlyDubai flight was headed for Tel Aviv in Israel, with many Israeli passengers, but after the violent incident it diverted to Tabuk for an emergency landing.
There was some initial confusion about the nationality of all the pilots on board the aircraft, as multiple outlets at first reported that the two pilots fighting in the cockpit and causing the near-crash were Russian and Ukrainian. New details indicate that the attacking co-pilot is Omani and the stabbed pilot is Emirati. Oman has been consistently supportive of the Iranian regime in its ongoing conflict with Israel this year. Israel Hayom clarified that there was a Russian and Ukrainian pilot crew on board, but that they were off duty and only took control when the other pilots were unable to do so because of their fight.
Israel’s Channel 12 reports that the FlyDubai crew included two pilots — one from Russia and one from Ukraine.

This appears to have been from false propaganda that was put out early on in this incident.
Most media are now reporting that the extra pilots were for the next flight of the aircraft, and at least one was british.
“One passenger Almog Itali told the BBC: ‘There were two pilots in the front, one stabbed the other, and there were two spare pilots who were supposed to operate the next flight.
‘The relief pilots are European, one of them British, who entered [the cockpit] and pulled the aircraft up, pulled the yoke, stabilised the plane and landed us in Saudi Arabia.’”
Other reports posted here said they were Indian.

Oct 1 (Reuters) - Russian opposition figure and former world chess champion Garry Kasparov said on Wednesday that security services in the US and Lithuania had warned him that his life was in danger following a suspected plot against Kremlin opponents living outside Russia.
US authorities said last month they had charged five people over alleged plots involving Russian intelligence to assassinate two opposition figures, one in the US and the other in Lithuania, after paying recruits to carry out surveillance on both of them.

If, it wasn't for the ass Putin, who used his army to cross an internationally recognized border to seize a neighboring countries land, maybe we could have worked with Russia to deal with Islam.

Do you have a good reason to believe one source over the other? Or was it only because one was reported more recently.
