A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Israel was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia Wednesday after a violent attempt by one of the pilots to seize control of the aircraft and crash it, passengers and Israeli officials said.
"As they were approaching Israel, one of the pilots stabbed the other pilot and apparently attempted to crash the plane with everyone on board," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video statement, lauding passengers and other crew members who intervened. The prime minister said he instructed Israel's "security establishment to prepare for potential additional threats."
An Israeli security official told CBS News that authorities were investigating the possibility that the incident could have been an attempted Sept. 11-style terror attack, and whether the attacker was working alone. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz called it "an attempted jihadist terror attack, which was thwarted only thanks to the heroism of several Israeli passengers who broke into the cockpit, overpowered the terrorist, and with their own hands returned control of the aircraft to an additional flight crew that was present," according to a statement.

Fly El Al next time.
Does anybody know if one of the Snack Bar Boyz tried to crash an aircraft?
Co-pilot was named Mohammed unless proven otherwise.
I don’t understand. I searched the headline, Israel, Dubai, plane, terrorism.

An Aloha Snackbar Boy.
Exactly!
In past years I have flown qemirates but I doubt I will be flying airlines with HQ in any middle east countries except El Al. And probably avoid airlines in other muslim countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.
ElAl pilots are all former Israeli air force, presumably psych screened.
It was a Mostly-Peaceful
Islamic Terrorist Attack - CNN
Interesting, while the chosen ally poll numbers are in the tank. How convenient.
Fifth Freeper reporting on this incident.
“FlyDubai”
No thanks! The airline pilot screening process is ... deficient.
Thanks for the most ridiculous post of the day.
My sister and her family a few yrs ago flew to Israel via Turkish Airways since El Al was too expensive..so she had to fly to Turkey then to Israel, and on the way back had to fly to Turkey and then to California, of course Turkish Airlines lost her luggage but she was able to get everything back..she will NEVER fly Turkish Airlines again, if you want to go to Israel, fly either American Airlines or El Al thats it, NO Arab planes
CBS needs to explain this to Al Reuters and CNN
Laughed out loud....so true....the religion (not) of peace GWB..
