Vice President JD Vance told Daily Caller Editorial Director Vince Coglianese that he and the president discussed how to take over the Senate floor and pass the SAVE America Act.
Coglianese, the host of VINCE on the Bongino Report, sat down with Vance for a 30-minute interview aired on Tuesday. Vance told Coglianese that he and Trump have “obsessively” discussed how they could pass the SAVE America Act and nuke the filibuster — two of the president’s top priorities.
“First of all, could I assume the chair of the Senate and fire the parliamentarian? Yes, I could. If you have to ask the question, what does that give you? So let’s just play this out,” Vance told Coglianese in response to a question about what could be done to get the SAVE America Act through.
“Trust me, we have played it out internally with a lot of great people, including the president of the United States. So I take over the chair, I fire the parliamentarian, and what happens? Four or five Republicans, at least, and maybe 10 Republicans, they join the Democrats to then overrule the new chair, which is the Vice President of the United States,” Vance said.
The vice president went on to add that a number of Republican senators vote more with Democrats than their own party, which has been part of the issue. All they need, Vance said, was 50 senators to “stick together” to make it happen.
“The problem is not with who’s in the chair. The problem is that you have four or five Republicans, and we all know who they are, who are going to stand with Democrats. So let me just again play this out in some detail.

Enough with the, "they're all the same," crap.
If Republicans get out and vote this year we're going to replace Tillis with a real Republican, we're losing McConnell's seat, but we're hopefully going to get Rogers from Michigan in this place, we'll be replacing Cassidy with a real Republican, also. Collins is within 10 points in polling, so she's a shoe-in, and with numbers like that (i.e., she's the only holdout) her fence-sitting starts leaning more R.
Again, cut the, "they're all the same," crap. This article proves it's not true. It's a handful of RINO jackasses that keep important legislation like the SAVE America Act stalled and we're replacing three of them with real Republicans this cycle.

This is a perfect example of why the 17th Amendment is the worst amendment in modern times and repealing it would be spectacular, but impossible. The Great Compromise was necessary at the forming of the country to bring the states together by the Founders, little did they know that one day we’d be ruled by a political party rather than the citizens.
Yet repealing any amendment is impossible in modern times but that doesn’t mean that President Trump can’t start screaming from the mountaintops to the retards in this country by starting with trashing RINOs that are controlled by a group (GOPe/RINOs) rather than citizens. /end fantasy

Tillis is 100% being replaced by Roy Cooper (D) in North Carolina.
We are not losing McConnell’s seat in Kentucky.
Unless there is a big last-minute turnaround in voter sentiment Rogers has at most a 40% chance of winning in Michigan. Some other GOP seats are 50-50 tossups (Alaska, Texas) or worse (Ohio).
The “real Republican”, Julia Letlow, who will replace Cassidy in Louisiana is a squish (which anyone who checks her voting record can see) whose only real distinction from Cassidy is that she never voted to impeach Donald Trump. Fleming was the far better option in the Pelican State, but the squish got the Golden Endorsement. At least she, like other squishes who got the G.E. (Dr. Oz leaps to mind) isn’t going to lose. Fleming would have won easily too, of course.
Collins should prevail in Maine. Is it a mortal lock that she will do so? Hardly. It’s another tossup.
So you call the vote on the floor to remove the Parliamentarian, you’re overruled by Democrats plus 5 RINOs - how do you think the rest of the rulings from that Parliamentarian are going to go? Vance spelled it out for you in the article.

You’re right that I got North Carolina and Kentucky elections mixed up.
I completely agree Fleming was a better choice than Letlow - but Letlow will vote to pass SAVE America.
I think your other numbers are a little pessimistic. There is *no way* Talarico is winning in Texas. Rogers is 50/50, but possibly better. Same in Ohio.
I have no idea what to make of Alaska. The only state more messed up than Alaska from that standpoint of what happens to votes is California. Sullivan should win, but unless the same people who guarantee Murkowski keeps winning are at worst indifferent about Sullivan he will lose.
El Sayed almost didn’t win his primary because of bad blood between Muslims and Blacks in Metro Detroit. And relations are NOT improving as we head into election season. El Sayed cannot win without the Black vote in Detroit.

But let’s be very clear - this isn’t a vote on the floor to pass the SAVE America Act that Vance is talking about - this is a procedural move to replace the Parliamentarian so that the SAVE America Act can be brought up for a simple majority vote, bypassing filibuster. That’s what JD is talking about. Right now the Parliamentarian won’t “allow” that.
Replacing the Parliamentarian is what JD is talking about - and you lose. And how do you think the rulings from the Parliamentarian, whose was just approved for life, are going to go?

People are beginning to figure out the Sullivan dirty trick the Rats pulled in Alaska and the Real Sullivan has a decent chance to win but that just means maybe a 52% chance.
Peltola plays the Fake Moderate rather well, and this year that probably isn’t even necessary.
One thing we haven’t mentioned is that there’s an under-the-radar tossup which might actually be a GOP pickup: Minnesota. The Democrat is SUCH a radical nutjob that Michelle Tafoya might actually pull it out. That’s not the *likely* outcome, but it’s far from impossible. An ordinary ultra-liberal Democrat in Minnesota would win without any effort at all; but Flanagan is SO odious that “moderates” (such as they are) are fleeing from her. Whether enough of them will do so remains to be seen.

Yeah - so meaningful - Collins polls started looking the wrong way, so they STOPPED TAKING THEM over a week ago. Her last three elections she has beat the polls by double digits. And Texas is always on the verge of turning blue - Talarico’s polls show it! Only Beto’s polls showed it, too, and no one I know in Texas believes these polls mean a damned thing.
And, oh, wait, the same polls had Cornyn beating out Paxton in a squeaker just a few weeks ago. But that didn’t happen did it? What did Paxton win by - 30%?
And El-Sayed was trouncing Stevens in his primary in Michigan the day of the election - only he didn’t.
And Wisconsin? Same thing, right? And Florida, with Nixon and Vindman? Same story again, right?
