Every citizen's vote is sacred. The vote is how we guarantee that our government remains of the people, by the people, and for the people. Americans need and deserve elections that they can trust and have confidence in the final results. Legitimate voters should be able to vote in privacy without being harassed, secure in the knowledge that their vote will not be lost, stolen, altered, or negated by a vote cast by an illegitimate voter. Americans need and deserve a secure and transparent system in which fraud can be easily detected, and where false allegations can be dispelled. Election laws should be strongly enforced by state authorities to deter election crimes or fraudulent activity. Americans need and deserve a system in which it is easy to vote and hard to cheat.
In order to help voters, state legislators, election officials, and all Americans who are interested in ensuring a fair and secure election process, The Heritage Foundation has published this Election Integrity Scorecard, which compares the election laws and regulations of each state and the District of Columbia that affect the security and integrity of the process to the Foundation's best-practices recommendations.
As a reminder, however, even the best laws are not worth much if responsible officials do not enforce them rigorously. It is up to the citizens of each state to make sure that their elected and appointed public officials do just that.

I’m so disappointed to see Idaho scored in the middle of the pack. I thought we were doing better than that. I just sent a personal email inquiry to the Idaho Secretary of State asking why we are doing so poorly on election integrity.

“...negated by a vote cast by an illegitimate voter.” This was the basis of Texas’s protest of the open 2020 election fraud. Several states filed briefs with SCOTUS, some stating that Elector selection laws in some states violated the US Const.
Then, the coward Roberts refused to hear any one of these cases — ‘cause he was afraid of demonstrations.
So long as mailin ballots are allowed anywhere there can be no honest election. Not “fair”, honest.

“Election Integrity” applies to ALL elections, local, state, federal.
The local elections always have the most vote fraud in my experience. This is because the total vote count is small in a local election. That means a small number of fraudulent votes can decide the outcome.
It is very difficult to prove vote fraud sufficient to change the outcome in a large election. Example. GA has MILLIONS of voters. 2020 was decided by 11,500 votes.
3,000 of the 11,500 were proven vote fraud. There has been only small anecdotal proof of the rest. Nobody who understood what was needed for proof was willing to put in the hard, thankless time to prove the other 8,500.
But much time in GA was spent on possibilities and probabilities and leads that were not proof.
I knew Georgian would rank near the top.
One of Idaho’s issues is absentee ballots, which are more freely distributed than they should be. In my position as a Representative in the legislature, I have tried (unsuccessfully) to enact reforms. Our secretary of State is against it, and the county clerks are more I favor of absentee ballots because it’s easier for them to count paper than to have the polls and workers.
