Bartiromo cost Fox nearly $800 million dollars because she was reckless with the truth. That makes her damaged goods to MAGA.
It’s hard to see Trump hiring her as his press secretary, since she’s going to be the primary defense witness in the pending $3 billion lawsuit against Fox for defamation.
I appreciate you posting this topic. I hope you will not take it wrong but I disagree, I thought Vance really shot himself in the foot today. His defense of Carlson was an unforced error. It comes down to priorities.
Friendship is very important, supporting a friend is noble and a test of character. Ignoring commentary that is antisemitic, supports and whitewashes forces that seek to destroy our Nation, commentary that is often misinformation, is a dreadful choice, a juvenille choice.
There are greater loyalties than friendship, God, Country, Family, Truth. Virtue signaling about your friendship rising above politics is inappropriate in someone who is supposed to put Country first. This press conference cemented by belief that JD Vance is not ready for the Presidency.
Rather than being reckless Maria brought out the truth.
Dominion executives have now been forced to admit wrong doing and recently dropped a pending lawsuit. Fox was too quick to be intimidated.

I kind of agree with you both about priorities (being nice is important, but not tolerating antisemitism and the like is more important). And, I’m inclined to your assessment of JD Vance. My summary wasn’t intended to be where I approved or disapproved of what he said.
Remember when Kanye West brought Nick Fuentes to Mar-a-lago? Trump was trying to reach out to a person he considered to be a friend (and who is a very talented person). But, the president hurt by the image.
I’ll go back a bunch of years. At a professional meeting, Jack Kemp was making the rounds and came across an anti-Lincoln scholar. It’s one thing for an academic to entertain himself with heterodox ideas. It’s another thing for a potential presidential candidate to be associated with that element.
Maybe someday but not until he grows up.

The question I would have liked to ask JD after his Tucker response is: “ what on earth can you list as a possible reason to want to be friends with a mentally unstable man who has and continues to say vile, despicable things about your boss, spews anti semitism on a daily basis, bashes much of the efforts to make America Great Again and then bald face lies about it?”
Im sorry but if this is JD Vance’s idea of a best friend he has no business anywhere near the Whitehouse.
