Mayor Karen Bass just made it official: Los Angeles is a sanctuary city when it comes to enforcing food safety laws with thousands of street stands that have popped up all over the city — many of them run by illegal aliens.
Bass’s announcement this week ordering police to stop issuing violations to unpermitted vendors follows a Breitbart News investigation last month that revealed the widespread lack of enforcement of city and county food safety laws, with street food stands run by illegal migrants getting a free pass while citizen restaurateurs and licensed food stands are subject to fines, high costs, burdensome regulations and even closure.

Obviously the folks in LA approve.
I love the street food vendors but they should be American citizens. Have ICE question them. And if you think they will make you sick than don’t eat their food.
Every lunch she has while in office should come from migrant food vendors.

If you are a business person trying to run a restaurant in LA by the rules you are screwed , but if you are an illegal alien you can start up an illegal taco stand in the street in front of of some other persons business with no health inspection, business license or tax number

This is all about tearing down society, so they can build a Communist system, where everything is planned.
I recently read about a similar problem in DC. Unlicensed vendors controlled by mostly Latin gangs, although also African and Middle Eastern gangs, too.
No enforcement by the DC government health or police, but violent enforcement by the gangs for locations and “insurance”.

Typical liberal crap. Don’t enforce the laws on the book. Allow law breakers to thrive at the expense of those individuals who follow the rules. This applies to these illegitimate vendors who are taking business away from those vendors who followed the law and got the required permit to run their business. The same applies to the illegals who cut ahead in the immigration line to get here first, while stepping on the backs of their countrymen who are patiently waiting in line to come here legally. RATS are the consistent enablers of criminal behavior.

I am sure they are all paying the $20/hr minimum wages. Oops! that was legal restaurants. Silly me.
I spent years working in restaurants and I was a service plumber in California going into the back of many restaurants and food joints, and something that I am sure of, is that the immigrant food places are not inspected by the same standards that I thought was normal when I was younger, they seem largely immune from the whole American restaurant inspection stress that I thought was normal in the business.
When I have watched Kitchen Nightmares I have seen kitchens that gave me the impression that modern inspectors are corrupt and negligent anyway, it wasn’t just the workers that changed after the 1965 immigration bill, which hit about the same time as affirmative action and quotas were becoming normal and law, it was also our systems and government workers, and standards and competency, and the weakening of the eternal fight against corruption and laziness in our agencies.
Mystery meat. Supposedly cooked. By illegal aliens. Outside. In the sun. With ze bugs.
Probably just fine.
Bass as mayor is to LA what Jesse CarJackson would have been as POTUS to America. How on earth could we have stooped to the level of that incompetent boob as mayor for one of America’s largest (and formerly prosperous) cities?
