Anti-monarchy protesters booed the King and Queen as they travelled past them on The Mall during the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony.
In footage shared by Republic, demonstrators could be seen holding placards, one reading “down with the crown”, and one person was heard shouting “not my King”.
In the short video clip, Charles was seen waving at crowds in front of the protesters.
A message posted alongside the clip read: “Despite the Met trying to stop us, the royals have been confronted by protestors at the Trooping the Colour ceremony, demanding they answer questions about the cover-up of the Andrew scandal!”
Police had earlier told anti-monarchy protesters they must stay in a designated area on The Mall during the Trooping the Colour ceremony until officers and stewards allow the public to proceed down the route.

Kings, Queens, Monarchies, are such feudal and ancient systems.
They serve no purpose in modern times. Queens serve a real purpose for bees and ants and other communal animal kingdoms, but, human have progressed from such simplistic and useless systems.
Charles looks like he’s ‘spent’, and monarchies have also spend their usefulness.
It just doesn’t rhyme the way the original did.
Strange women lying on their backs in ponds handing out swords is no basis for a system of government.
In a wild coincidence, I told that joke to my mother just before I opened FR this morning.
I mean, if I went around saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they’d put me away!
