I dont understand why this is even a question?
Every governor has the authority (and duty, which just about every one, even TX at times, has not bothered to do) to secure their state borders for safety of its Citizens. Especially if Fed hasnt been securing country borders and means of access (which has been all the decades of my life except some of Trump years).
That would include making sure illegals/non Members of the state dont come in and roam around or pass through to other states.
There’s nothing quite like the “ku-chunk” sound of the catapult followed by the Doppler fade of their screaming as they soar over the Rio Grande.
Really a trebuchet is preferred. Much better range.

This is the leftists' web dream. Having activist judges rule outside of the Executive and Legislative branches. The DEMs are sending nearly every decision Trump makes to a judicial court. Then another judicial court.
And even when they have pushed it all the way to the SCOTUS, they find another judicial court that rules against the SCOTUS.
Doesn't seem like anyone is going to make the DEMs pay for this, although this particular ruling will hurt in the removal of illegal voters they so cherish.
Many USA cities look like a third world shithole. Walk down Canal street in New York City, or Kensington district in Philadelphia.
Even smaller towns have been infested with illegal democrat cockroaches. Here in Pennsylvania you got Allentown, Reading, Hazelton, Lebanon, Charleroi, etc. Where ever there is a meat packing plant, you are sure to find thousands of Morlocks.

Yes, both Obama and Biden focused mostly on appointing judges during their reign of terror. They both knew that long-term judges was the most important thing for their agenda. I always thought it’d be kind of cool if Republicans had the same mindset. Unfortunately, except for Supreme Court, the Republican’s really don’t give too hoots about appointing judges.
This is great. Now I want to see Texas with the right to invade Mexico and stop the attacks into Texas coming from Mexico.
