Bodycam footage has done something the media absolutely never wanted to happen. It’s shown the public what cops are really dealing with. Violent, armed suspects.

The cameras show: "Black men (and women) running, fighting, resisting, ramming cars, pulling guns, ignoring commands, and creating split-second situations where cops have to make a life-or-death decision."
Finally!
Gotta hand it to BLM, their demands help end the “defund the police” narrative.
“Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists and supporters have long demanded that police officers wear body-worn cameras to increase accountability, promote transparency, and document potential misconduct.
But instead of proving that police were the villains in every viral outrage story, bodycam footage has repeatedly shown cops walking into absolute chaos and making life-or-death decisions in seconds.”
It’s minor inconvenience. They didn’t really want the bodycams, they just wanted something else to complain about. Now that it’s done, and it doesn’t help the commies, the media will ignore it, and the public will continue their long slumber.
Benjamin Crump hit hardest
The cameras gave video evidence that supported the pattern recognition we were seeing. The fatigue is real.
I disagree. There is a lot of Black Fatigue in society, largely because so much bad behavior is not captured on video. The general public wants black Americans to embrace civilization and are tired of their antics.
For that I guess I owe BLM some props.
True crime is my favorite TV genre and body cams have made those shows significantly better and likely cheaper to produce which means there is more of them.
“The general public wants black Americans to embrace civilization and are tired of their antics.”
I hope you’re right. I’m old, insulated, and cranky, so I only go by what I see around me in the very blue part of Ohio.
A few days ago in the next county over, the police shot and killed a guy.
Sure enough the family got on TV claiming it wasn’t necessary and the guy was harmless.
Body cams revealed not only video showing he was brandishing TWO knives but also audio threatening the LEOs and telling them to kill him.
Undeterred, the race hustler lawyer Ben crump is in his way. SMH
Something else bodycams show...
A cop refusing to obey an unlawful/unethical order.
Just something to keep in mind.
I guarantee you they do
I met the inventor of the original police dash cam. It was a monster device. The camera was mounted to the dash and hard wired to a steel box in the trunk with all the recording equipment. My employer at the time was his source for the steel enclosures.
He told me that he invented it to protect police officers from untruthful complaints of brutality etc. He then said that they found how well it worked to help prove guilt of the suspect.
Lawyer: “Your honor, my client is completely innocent of the offense of drunk driving”
Prosecutor: “Let’s roll the tape.”
five minutes later
Lawyer: “We’d like to change our plea.”
It’s even better with body cams.
Last time I was pulled over, the trooper informed me he was recording us.
I looked at him and said “That’s OK, so am I.” We both laughed and went on with our business of the expired plate.
Always record every police interaction.
Their latest tactic is to claim the audio and video are doctored to favor police.
Given the stupidity of nullification juries and two-tiered judges, I see this ploy working...
every police officer in the United States should have body cam
I forgot to add: Cameras catch dirtbag police too.
The Civil Rights Lawyer on Youtube had a video yesterday of a scum cop in Kentucky who was “investigating” a remarkably minor traffic accident and decided without evidence that the guy who got hit was a DUI, notwithstanding that he blew 0.00 and passed the field sobriety test.
Part two of the video hasn’t been released yet. That’s the one with the dirtbag cop in court getting blasted. Body cam clearly showed an innocent victim of the police.
“Their latest tactic is to claim the audio and video are doctored to favor police.”
I’ve seen that one here.
The accusation is ALL the video wasn’t released.
You’ll never satisfy some blacks no matter what.....so why try?
The sheriff in my city is black.....you’d think that would stop the accusations of police misconduct....you’d be wrong.
I have aways been a proponent of police body cams.
It makes it less likely they will abuse suspects, and protects them when they are accused of mistreatment.
I'm not sure if these BLM activists were really stupid enough to believe their own fake propaganda but is really nice to see the gullible white suburban voters who got scammed by these BLM dirtbags get an eye full of the kind of insane violence and criminality the little inner city angles inflict on their hapless victims.
There was a recent story where the family of the “victim” was demanding a copy of the body cam footage. The police released it publicly. The family whined that was not what they wanted. Waaaaah!
That is fixable with software that tags a video or image if it has been altered in any way.
