https://okeefemediagroup.com/white-house-tapes-trump-advisor/Maxim Lott, a Special Assistant to President Trump on the White House Domestic Policy Council, was captured on undercover camera admitting that key domestic policy decisions are often made without formal analysis and based on assumptions about what President Trump “would want.”
“In theory, everything should sort of come from the president…But it might come from the level below him [Trump] where they’re like, ‘I think I know the president well enough to say what he would say on this,’” Lott said.
Lott’s comments point to a deeper concern: that policy decisions are not driven by efforts to save American taxpayers money. He told the undercover journalist that proposals move forward because officials believe “the base supports it,” with no serious financial review: “There’s no cost-benefit analysis… no, like, ‘oh, well, this will cost $10 million, but save people $20.’”
“There’s nothing like that, it’s just like ‘this feels like a good idea’ or ‘the base supports this’, alright just sign!”
Lott has been working in the White House since February 2025 on high-level domestic policy. Maxim gave an example of his team pursuing action on spam phone calls based on the assumption that “Trump would wanna do that. That would be popular,” even though Trump was not aware of the effort.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Ellisten, a Budget analyst within the Executive Office was recorded expressing strong opposition to the President he serves.
“We’ve got to get rid of him [Trump],” Ellisten said. He called Trump “a madman, literally,” and stressed that his coworkers could not know his true views: “They can’t know.”
Ellisten, who oversees budget funding

Some people are too stupid to be government employees............
I’m not so sure about that.
I’d love to see the babe that O’Keefe is using to get these idiots to run their mouths. She must be very “persuasive “!
Ellisten is right, he is a madman. Also, Mr. Ellisten, YOU’RE FIRED!
What Maxim Lott expressed is probably the common attitude for most presidential advisors. Lott is your basic Washington Yes Man.
What the second guy Ben Ellisten expressed is far different, and more dangerous. A toxic, corrosive resistance that can only weaken and destroy certain policies of the president.
Ellisten and all his Minions must be weeded out and disposed of asap!
It was nice of him to show his hand. Now he needs to be kicked to the curb.
Something tells me Trump doesn’t give a sh*t what these morons say anyways but still, what the hell purpose do they serve?
👍
He’ll probably file an EEOC Suit.
The YouTube video is ‘not available’ anymore.
As of 9.05pm Pacific.
All a sudden!
Maxim Lott looks a bit pooftery ...
I think the link at #4 works. Not sure why that happens but I’ve had to post multiple times in order for a link to work. I’ve just never had great luck at this computery stuff.
And the other guy sounds like he doesn’t even go here.
“....get rid of Trump...”? Is that like 86-47?
Sounds like it.
Thanks. I wasn’t blaming you for the video disappearing.
I figured it was b/c ‘they’ (The policy assistants in question) didn’t want the public seeing it.
