Wasn’t Connecticut long the center of the US firearms industry?

Unconstitutional on the face of it, it will be crushed legally in the end unfortunately it will take time which is what these evil tyrants know and are counting on.

I think we’re still allowed to have sling-shots here, though....

Ban guns, end up in court. Lawyers cash in. Rinse, repeat.

Used top be. Back in the 1960s the congressmen from the NE states wanted a ban on 5 shot army surplus rifles because of their use in crime. In reality it was a ban to protect the industries of Winchester, Remington and SAVAGE from cheap imports. Why should someone buy a cheap import military rifle for $20 when they can get a nice Remington for $90?
Now all that anti-gun rhetoric has come home to bite them in the butt as so many gun industries are fleeing to the South.
In 1968 import of surplus military 5 shot rifles was banned. BUT you could still import such a rifle if it had been issued to a police force and not a military.

They can’t. And the courts will crush it. It just takes time. The entire game is so tiresome.

Don’t bet on single shot rifles. In the Clinton years when AW rifles were banned for ten years, the democrats did not shut off the lights and go home.
They immediately found a new target to frighten the people with and called for a ban on “SINGLE SHOT .50 CAL RIFLES THAT CAN TAKE DOWN AN AIRPLANE WITH ONE SHOT!”

It is certainly unconstitutional & should not need any court to argue otherwise. Read The Constitution, dummies. it’s all right there & that’s supposed to be the law of the land.
