Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., introduced legislation last week that would significantly expand rights for the homeless and overhaul how the government treats Americans living on the streets by siphoning billions from defense spending.
The "Unhoused Persons Bill of Rights" calls for government-led intervention to end homelessness over the next three years and introduces more than a dozen protections for homeless people.
If passed, Tlaib's legislation would include freedom of movement for homeless people in public spaces, affordable housing, "livable" wages, universal healthcare and panhandling.
Under the resolution, homeless individuals would have the "right to uninhibited access" to public parks, transportation, facilities, sidewalks, buildings, restrooms and other spaces — meaning they could legally set up camp in such public spaces.
Specifically, homeless individuals would be given protections against "banishment" from private property, which the Michigan Democrat's measure characterizes as a violation of an individual’s "fundamental civil and human rights."

Even ther “best” is evil.
There is only one Bill of Rights and “homeless camping” ain’t in it.
So if some bum puts a tent in my front or back yard I can’t have him/her removed? I ain’t believing it.
The legal environment has so contorted itself I doubt anyone could be convicted for treason anymore but there should still be plenty of room for mental health diagnosis that would upend her stay in Congress.
She seriously needs to be subjected to the Baker Act.
SHE CERTAINLY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE TERM “PRIVATE PROPERTY”
WHAT KIND OF A PLACE DOES SHE LIVE IN????
DOES SHE OWN OR RENT?
WHAT WILL INSURANCE COMPANIES SAY ABOUT THIS?
“HOMELESS CAMPING” ON OUR PRIVATE PROPERTY-—FIRE BURNS EVERYTHING DOWN-—COVERAGE????? I BET NOT.
MORTGAGE COMPANIES WILL NOT BE HAPPY, EITHER.
The Congress’s Desert Caravan dog barks and howls.
What CRAPHOLE country is she from?
Codifying vagrancy into a “right”. Brilliant idea, Rashida! What could possibly go wrong?
Coming to a Congress near you!
The political agenda of an enemy agent, yet in modern America she holds elective office.
How many has she invited to stay at her house?
Like Mamdani, she is a foreign-owned, 5th columnist agent.
Exactly. They blame all of the issues of their home nations on the US. They are too hateful and blind to realize that every generation, every child born is new and had nothing to do with what happened in the world before. Yet, they will hate them.
> So if some bum puts a tent in my front or back yard I can’t have him/her removed? <
Right now Tlaib is just talking about public spaces. A bum puts up a tent on a sidewalk, and that space becomes his. Too bad if anyone wants to use that sidewalk.
But just you wait. Eventually radicals like Tlaib will expand this idea to private property. Except for their own private property, of course.
Just a reminder how the pig muzzie (yes a contradiction) is that when Conyers finally croaked after some 50 years in the House, IIRC there were 7 or 8 eight black guys that ran in the primary. A reminder this is deep ghetto Detroit and they all vote dem, black, male and of course since it the primary it is all that counts. So all the votes were split between the guys rendering them all losers. There were just enough votes left over for the white, ugly, fat-lipped disgusting Pali commie to sneak in.
It’s gonna be another 50-year run or death, what ever comes first.

“Yes, this is a much better arrangement...More just!”
can we give out flyers to her front lawn to all the homeless?

My work brings me into contact with a lot of these people.
Most of them are pathetic wretches. I do not endorse “destigmatization”, because I think stigma helps a few people into recovery, but I don’t endorse piling on, either.
It is a social problem that needs a solution, and as the US moves further into revolutionary times, we need some good ideas, because if the communists are not opposed, THEIR solution (moving the homeless in with you) is what’s going to happen.
