Don’t expect any changes. In fact the Rats always manage to replace a failure with someone even worse.
The marrch will go on.
Just call Nancy and find out who she wants to appoint.
Just find a random socialist communist pervert and appoint him/her/it/etc.
Time to rotate the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Karen Bass??
Perhaps you should visit Livermore/Pleasanton/Dublin/Fremont/Hayward.
In 1970 it was about 95% White.
Now:
“California’s 14th Congressional District has a 2024 population of approximately 728,854 to 739,000 residents, with a Cook PVI of D+20. The district is ethnically diverse, with Asian (Non-Hispanic) residents making up the largest group at 38.0% to 39.7%, followed by White (Non-Hispanic) at 25.6% to 29.7%, Hispanic at 24.8% to 24.9%, Black or African American at 5.1% to 5.6%, and Pacific Islander at 0.8% to 1.05%.”
The appointee - you are correct that the Mafia Princess will be the Supreme Arbiter of Who Will Rule - will most likely be either Indian or Chinese ethnicity. Whitey need not apply...
Swalwell was an anomaly. He came in as the district was finally tipping majority Asian. The old Democrat party here is still ruled by White boomers, but that’s going down the memory hole in the sea of foreigners they imported.
what may be a ray of hope (?) is that many Asians and Mexicans favor socially traditional, conservative values..
and some of them feel themselves escapees from communist or otherwise repressive regimes ruling their homelands
and India is on our side fighting against Islamicist terrorism in both Iran and Paki
finally, the district is quite prosperous with the expansion of SillyCon Valley computer and similar techie jobs into the area — lots and lots of so-called “middle class homeowners”
it is not a natural hotseat of communist agitation or rebellion
———admittedly, every item above is a generalization but this comment box is only so big. the point is that the district is not a naturally commie-nazi-progressive stronghold. it has “voted” strong-D, yes. Could it be won by a sale-able conservative with a concerted effort (including $$$ to get the message out) ? I really think so.
But all the above is wasted pixels because the Californication GOP is a worthless and almost invisible outfit. Outside of the golf course, you’ll almost never see them anymore in the state’s urban areas. (yes, they’re still visible in the more rural counties...but this district is no longer primarily rural).
Since your account page doesn’t show your location, I have no idea where you live.
But I watched that district change from lilly white to majority non-White over the last 40 years, and the software jobs don’t make them “more like us”, they just see it as proof of their own superiority.
You’re nuts if you think these are just midwesterners with odd genetics. They came to dominate, and the dishrag Californians meekly let them.
Devil you know.......?
Another one of the Party of Death’s DemonRAT “special elections” specialties.
Don’t expect any changes. In fact the Rats always manage to replace a failure with someone even worse.
Exactly.
NYC is a perfect example of that.
Hi!
Thanks for your views.
It is all a tempest in a teapot. The GOP won’t run a serious race anyway.
Agree. They gifted California to the Demorats in the mid-1990’s.
That’s gotta be tough for the voters, trying to decide which nut job candidate is the farthest off the left-wing rails, so they can vote for him/her/it.
IOW you can’t respond to my point: it’s a fantasy that the Replacements will turn out to be closet WASPs.
They used ethnic cleansing in the form of race quotas for jobs and education, actual gang threats in Hayward/Fremont/San Leandro and of course making sure that all government employees in the county “looks like the people there” to turn the whole area solid Left.
So don’t say ridiculous crap like “they’re maybe just like us”. They aren’t.
And it was never a “Republican” district anyway, not with Pete Stark there for 40 years.
That’s gotta be tough for the voters, trying to decide which nut job candidate is the farthest off the left-wing rails, so they can vote for him/her/it.
The last I knew he didn’t resign. He only said he was going to resign.
