Hungary's Tisza party seen winning two-thirds majority in parliament, Median projection shows

Bungary's opposition party Tisza is on track to win a two-thirds parliamentary majority in Sunday's election, allowing it ‌to amend the constitution and key laws needed to unlock ‌EU funds, a projection from polling agency Median showed on Wednesday.

Veteran nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his Fidesz party are facing the biggest challenge to their rule in 16 years as the centre-right Tisza party, led by Peter Magyar, is leading in independent polls.

Tisza is seen winning between 138 and 142 seats in the ‌199-member parliament, according to an estimate based on an analysis of Median's five most recent opinion polls conducted in late February and March.

Reuters....polls....bah!

Liberal polls are to shape opinion, not measure it.

Orbans era was vigorously encouraging while it lasted.
Sometimes a successful administration produces lazy or apathetic voters, assuming they don’t need to worry anymore about the right thing being done for the country.

They’ll get overrun by the Moslems, too, if Orban is pushed out.

JD Vance meddling in Hungary’s internal voting affairs was a mistake and it backfires terribly.

Imagine if Poland’s president or prime minister went to the USA campaigning for either the Democrats or the Republicans?? What a scandal that would be!

“They’ll get overrun by the Moslems, too, if Orban is pushed out.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>

Orban is actually appeasing armed muslims invading a part of Europe right now.
Indeed, Russia use Islamist Chechens in its invasion of Ukraine. Russia also use armed communist North Korean troops to help invading Ukraine on Russia’s behalf. Orban REFUSES to condemn all that.

He also is the one violating TRUMP’S DEMAND that Europe stop importing Russian oil. Europe collaborated with Trump and the oil import is now now down to a trickle (about 3%). It was costly for Europe but they did it! While Hungary miserably failed. They STILL import over 90% to their oil from Russia! Hungary just tramples on Trump’s demands.

Hungary has also sold it’s soul to CHINA :

Start with investment and infrastructure. Hungary has actively positioned itself as China’s primary gateway into the European Union. The flagship example is the Budapest–Belgrade railway, a major Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project financed largely by Chinese loans and built by Chinese firms. Critics argue that the project lacks clear economic justification for Hungary while increasing debt exposure and tying key infrastructure to Chinese contractors and standards.

Then there’s industrial presence. Chinese battery and electric vehicle manufacturers—such as CATL and BYD—have poured billions into Hungary. These are not minor investments; they involve massive factories, supply chains, and long-term employment ecosystems. Hungary is becoming a central node in China-linked EV production in Europe. Supporters call this smart industrial policy; critics see dependency forming in a strategic sector that Europe otherwise wants to control domestically.

Financial and institutional ties reinforce this pattern. Budapest hosts one of the few renminbi clearing banks in Central Europe and previously hosted Fudan University’s planned campus (a controversial project that sparked domestic backlash and was later stalled). These moves signal a willingness to embed Chinese financial and academic institutions within Hungary in ways that go beyond typical bilateral relations.

Politically, Hungary has often acted as a spoiler within the EU on China-related positions. It has blocked or watered down EU statements criticizing China on issues like human rights or Hong Kong. This alignment doesn’t necessarily mean control, but it does suggest that China has found a reliable partner inside EU decision-making structures—something that amplifies its influence beyond Hungary itself.

Media and narrative influence are also part of the argument. Chinese state media content-sharing agreements and partnerships with Hungarian outlets have increased, while the Hungarian government itself maintains a very China-friendly tone compared to many Western European counterparts. The environment is more receptive to Beijing’s messaging than in most EU states.

From a strategic standpoint, Hungary is trading short-term economic gains for long-term leverage risks. Heavy reliance on Chinese capital, technology, and infrastructure could give Beijing influence over critical sectors or political decisions, especially if disputes arise.

Therefore... Orban is an impostor, working for foreign interests - destroying his own country and Europe in the process.

He is a helping the commies like a fanatic.

He should be jailed.

Zelensky of Ukraine did just that in 2024....

He went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for Kamala Harris.

I don’t think he won Kamala any votes by doing so. Probably just the opposite.

You and your screeching, blithering nonsense and pro-Yook fabrications and obfuscations. Ugh.

There is one reason - and one reason only - that you and all other Zeepers hate Orban: He's prevented a $90 billion EU payment to Yookville from going through.

Who's paying you to propagandize for Yookville and against anyone or any entity either indifferent to the grifting, black box craphole or against shoveling more cash to its hyper-corrupt oligarchs and gubmint officials?

BTW, have you gotten your prayer rug and open-backed sandals yet, Frenchy?

I suspect that under various issues lies a fundamental that would be felt by many voters in Western countries: 16 years as a Head of State is long enough.

Orban heavily encouraged/subsidized the building of Asian(mostly Chinese) factories which manufacture EV batteries in Hungary, while the Ministry of Environment and Water was abolished in 2010. Its responsibilities were put under the Ministry of Agriculture leading to lax environmental enforcement.

Viktor Orbán has established Hungary as China's primary ally within the European Union, fostering a deep "all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership" that prioritizes Chinese investment over EU policy alignment. Hungary frequently acts as a gateway for Chinese firms, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, and has blocked EU actions against Beijing. Key aspects of the Orbán-China relationship include:

Massive Investment: Hungary has become a major European recipient of Chinese capital, driven by substantial projects like the €7.3 billion CATL battery factory in Debrecen and the €4 billion BYD plant in Szeged.

Political Shield: Orbán has frequently used his veto power in the European Council to block EU efforts to sanction or criticize China over trade and human rights issues.

Strategic Projects: Hungary is heavily involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, notably the Budapest-Belgrade railway project, which is supported by Chinese financing.

Part of the Neocon Color Revolution playbook is to put out FAKE POLLS prior to an election in order to be able to “active the masses” (their term, not mine) after the party the Neocons are trying to install loses.

They tried this EXACT stunt in the country of Georgia over the past couple of years, but the government knew it was coming and successfully fight off this crap.

So, nothing new here...

President Trump should have just funded the election with hundreds of millions of dollars like former WH resident Bathhouse Barry Soetero Obeyme used to do behind the scenes/under the table by funding NGO’s who brought us such libertarian stalwarts as Volodomyr Zelinskyyyyy.

Well, if true they will soon regret their decision. The EU has been the major contributing factor that has facilitated the destruction of Europe.

We get it, you hate anyone who does not hate Putin like you hate Putin.

Unfortunately, you have no clue of Hungarian history and why Orban has taken the position of advocating for peace and trade over war and blockades.

The EU are not the good guys here in regard to Ukraine, Russia, Hungary or China.
