- A suspect has been arrested for the assault of a crossing guard in Darby Borough, Delaware County.
Rashiem Russell, 29, of West Philadelphia, was arrested at 11 a.m. Friday in Darlington, South Carolina.
He is being held and awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania

According to police, the guard told detectives that Russell had been driving aggressively as she helped students cross the street and that she ordered him to stop. Court records say Russell then parked his car, chased her down and hit her, knocking her unconscious.

So it’s probably no coincidence that Darby went from 83% White in the 1980s to over 80% negroid today.
Delaware County as a whole used to be a bastion of Republicanism (usually *liberal* Republicanism, but still). It never even voted for king-for-life FDR, and it did vote for Barry Goldwater (!).
However the last real Republican it voted for in a statewide election was over a quarter of a century ago now (Rick Santorum, 2000).
I don’t count Arlen Specter as a real Republican, but of course they adored him in DelCo and voted for him one last time in 2004.
Darlington is basically a large race track in the middle of nowhere.
darlington is small city that is full of drugs and crime 360 days a year. Lots of crime news comes out of darlington,
its one of the worst crime cities per capital in s.c. if not thee worst. And it ain't rednecks killing and robbing each other.

Not that it matters a great deal, but the crime happened in the Philadelphia area and the accused fled to Darlington, SC.
I guess I was lucky to have moved out of Broomall (DelCo) in ‘79 to Florida, where I afterward lived the majority of my life until moving to Denton three weeks ago.
There was a really good deli at the Lawrence Park shopping center, I’m sure it’s not there now, any more than Lit Bros., where I worked Christmas season in ‘70 and 71.

My point is you are wrong to think Darlington is just a race track with people around. Darlington is full of violence, this guy was going to his cousins, who probably is a thug too . Its a family thang
