Cesar Chavez was against illegal immigration because it drove down wages for legal farmworkers.

“Allegations that very young women or girls may have been victimized are crushing,” UFW said in its release.’

I missed that. There are allegations he’s a Pedophile?

“.because why”

Because he also supported deportation of every illegal alien.

Every single one of them.

I figured it was only a matter of time before they cancelled him, for that very reason.

He is now cancelled.

They’ll change the name of his holiday to something like “Farm Labor Day”.

There are allegations he’s a Pedophile?

Not anymore.

Today he rides the eternal hotdog roller in H@LL.

I do hate it when these type of allegations arise only YEARS after someone is dead.

The man died in 1993. Why are these charges only being made 33 years after the man died?

It took this long for these women to work up the courage?

'I had to wait until I was 50 to work up some Ovarian fortitude.'

Which is exactly why these ‘allegations’ are ‘coming out’. The leftists can’t stand the fact that he opposed illegal immigration. This is simply a disgusting effort to smear the man so as to dissuade those who oppose illegal immigration today from citing his position on the matter.

Cesar Chavez Day is just one day before April Fools Day.

I cannot tell them apart.

Chavez was responsible for the end of “El Cortito” (trans: the short one) in many California fields.

Many farmworkers suffered permanent injuries and pain from using this short-handled hoe in the fields. A full-sized hoe would have worked just as well but the growers fought him on the issue for years until physicians and other advocates proved that El Cortito was un-necessary.

He earned my respect for that.

In 1972, Cesar Chavez told the truth about illegal immigrants, and his language is a trigger to every snowflake that ever was.

He said a certain strike in Southern California was going quite well....... until.....

“””All of a sudden yesterday morning, they brought in 220 wetbacks – these are the illegals from Mexico,” Chávez said in an interview with KQED in the ‘70s. “There’s no way to defend against that kind of strikebreaking.”””

Here is the video. What extra joyful about this interview is that it is taking place on Public Television.

Chavez was a minor rabble-rouser who the left has elevated to sainthood because they needed a Mexican-American hero for their political aspirations. Think an American Che Guevara without the associated bloodshed.

A ridiculous example: San Antonio TX renamed Durango Street (which had held that name for over a century) after Chavez hailing it to be a well-deserved honor for his work in South Texas. Chavez had been in San Antonio exactly four times in his life and each of those times he was at the airport laying over to catch a plane. His interaction with the ‘oppressed’ peons of San Antonio was nil.

What really torqued many of the businesses on Durango Street was that neither the city nor any Latino organization offered to assist the smaller businesses on the street with the expense of changing anything that had the old name on it like signs, advertising, stationary, etc.

“Why?”

Because Cesar Chavez hated illegal aliens because illegals push down wages for legal workers.

Si se puede!

A Mexican-American Catholic priest who knew Cesar Chavez personally, told me years ago that Chavez was a fraud who only posed for pictures with migrant workers and did nothing himself.

I understand that he carried a pocket full of dimes to call immigration (pat phones) when he came across illegals and that's where we get the term to "drop a dime" on someone.
