Add another one to the continuing flight from the business hellhole that is California.
Looks like now Yamaha, a Japanese company which has been in California for 50 years, is out the door, moving to Georgia as part of major structural reforms to cut costs
The relocation won’t happen overnight. Yamaha plans to start the exit in late 2026, with the transition stretching into 2028.
Company spokesman Bob Starr said consolidating operations in Georgia simply makes business sense.
“In terms of efficiency, to have us all together in Georgia — all the functions of the business — it makes a lot of sense,” Starr said.
The departure marks another corporate blow for Cypress.
Back in 2019, Mitsubishi Motors North America ditched its longtime HQ in the city after 31 years, moving roughly 200 jobs to Franklin, Tennessee to cut costs.

I have to ask:
WHY’D IT TAKE SO LONG FOR BUSINESS TO LEAVE THAT HELLHOLE?
YAMAHA is an excellent company.
I’ve said for years that it will take major corporations refusing to do business in California to fi the endemic problems there.
We’re at the starting point. Valero Oil was the first major one. Others are starting to follow. Eastern based corporations need to stop shipping to California.
Individuals need to stop traveling there. Y’all can live without going to Disneyland and the NAPA wine tour.
Gruesome Newsom ever the The Addams Family and The Monsters would throw him out
I’m going to start answering people’s questions with “Who is John Galt?”. Maybe it could get as popular as Let’s go Brandon.
“”Company spokesman Bob Starr said consolidating operations in Georgia simply makes business sense.
“In terms of efficiency, to have us all together in Georgia — all the functions of the business””
Consolidating and having “us all together” means what? They’re leaving CA and ???????
California is an indictment of the Cult of RATs. That is the most beautiful state in the nation and used to be the pinnacle of success and innovation.
Filthy waste-of-oxygen liberals have literally flushed that entire state down the toilet.
“Company spokesman Bob Starr said consolidating operations in Georgia simply makes business sense. “In terms of efficiency, to have us all together in Georgia — all the functions of the business — it makes a lot of sense,” Starr said.”
With Georgia trending purple in the last few elections, is that a safe bet for Yamaha?
IN N OUT FAST FOOD MOVED TO FRANKLIN, TENN, ALSO.
BORN & BRED IN CALIF-—LEFT.

Truckers as well. If truck drivers would refuse to deliver to CA due to their crushing taxes and regulations then the consumers might start demanding a change.
RD400s are collectibles now. They are cool bikes, nice clean styling.
Just for those musicians on this post, the same parent company involved in making motorcycles makes Yamaha pianos and guitars.

In high school I thought these were sex on wheels:

Eventually did get a Duc Supersport with half fairings. You don't need full fairings unless your engine is ugly.
Washington State Governor Bob Ferguson said he will sign the “Wealth Tax” bill that will charge income tax on individuals making over $one million. I expect we will hear more airplanes leaving Seatac as the wealthy change their residence. And, I am under the flight path.
When the wealthy are gone, they will go after me until they run out of people’s money.
Washington and Oregon be next.
good luck straightening the taxes out on that fiasco
