An Iranian man from the southern port city of Bushehr released a video in English appealing to US President Donald Trump and Western governments to halt any deal with Iran’s ruling establishment before taking his own life.
In the roughly 10-minute video, the man, identified by Iranian media and activists as Pouria Hamidi, said he wanted to draw attention to what he described as a deadly crackdown on protests in Iran and urged Washington not to pursue negotiations with Tehran.
“If you’re watching this, then I’m not around anymore,” he said at the start of the video, adding that he was speaking to raise awareness about a massacre carried out by Iranian authorities during recent unrest.
“More than 40,000 people died, killed, massacred. More than Russia and Ukraine war and more than Israel and Palestine.”
Addressing US leaders directly, Hamidi urged them to abandon diplomacy with Tehran, saying any agreement would “betray all those people who died.”
“So please,” he said. “I beg you, do whatever you can to stop this deal.”

Astonishing. Extremely sad situation.
Do you think Trump should act against the Iranian “Theocracy”?
Clearly unmasked now, as murderous thugs.
Extremely sad. He knew they’d come for him.
More blood on Jimmy Carter’s hands.
Truth.
Only if he does it with Congressional approval because if he doesn’t, they will impeach him.
And he better pray it doesn’t lead to boots on the ground because dead US troops, a fortune spent in a country across the globe, and a protracted war, will destroy America by putting democrat commies in the WH.
The Maduro Op proved you don’t need a war to change things.
Besides, the Iranian people are on our side.
EC
And do what, exactly?
Bomb 93 million people into democracy?
Iran is not Venezuela. This is nowhere near the same.
Uprisings against the Shah were more intense than those against the mullahs. How do I know? Let’s just say there are more crazies on the side of the mullahs and they won’t go away when they fall. The next group of rulers will have to do a Pinochet on a much grander scale. Would it work? Only if it’s done quickly.
Just a thought: find some way to arm the resistance?
People who were arrested during the protests are bring executed every day behind prison walls. People who went to hospitals for their injuries are being identified and rounded up to wait their turn for execution.
US/Israeli attack can’t come soon enough.
Yeah. I don’t think the Shah was doing this to people back then at this rate.
Which resistance? Its not like there’s some unified group ready to step in and take power once the Mullahs and the IRGC are gone…the latter more likely not eliminated but like the Iraqis, split into numerous insurgent islamist militias battling each other and any US presence in the region.
Bringing back a Shah is a romanticist solution. What happens when his military starts killing the opposition which they will be goaded into doing. Just adding to more violence and us ( Trump) taking the blame.
If we break Iran….we bought it.
And in case anyone hadnt noticed, the Israelis havent destroyed Hamas ideologically in Gaza and that is one small territory and population compared to Iran.
Trump’s style seems to preclude that as a possibility.
People are rebelling against an Islamic dictatorship. Naturally the media is doing the minimum when it comes to covering current events in Iran.
“If we break Iran….we bought it.”
Dry, thirsty Iran is hella broken already. No foreign state, much less the U.S.,
is responsible for that.
There’s a Mother of all Humanitarian Crises looming when the water runs out.
Trump should be talking to Congressional leadership about how the U.S. might respond, short of a declaration of war.
Depending on what Trump decides to do, Congressional approval may not be strictly required.
Trump appears to be authorized to strike surgically against certain international malefactors.
