Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has claimed in his forthcoming memoir that 2024 Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’ campaign asked him if he had ever worked as a “double agent for Israel” while vetting him as a potential running mate.
Shapiro, who is Jewish, wrote in “Where We Keep the Light” that he told his interrogator, former Biden White House counsel Dana Remus, that he found the question offensive and was told, “Well, we have to ask.”
According to the New York Times, which obtained an advance copy of Shapiro’s book, Remus then asked if the governor had ever “communicated with an undercover agent of Israel.”
“If they were undercover, I responded, how the hell would I know?” wrote Shapiro, who is thought by some observers to be a contender for the 2028 Democratic nomination.
Shapiro’s account of the questions posed by Remus refer to antisemitic tropes that Jewish politicians, and Jews in general, are more loyal to Israel than the US.
While the Keystone State governor declined to directly criticize Remus, who he said was “just doing her job,” Shapiro wrote that the line of questioning “said a lot about some of the people around the VP.”
“I wondered,” he admitted in the book, “whether these questions were being posed to just me — the only Jewish guy in the running — or if everyone who had not held a federal office was being grilled about Israel in the same way.”

Shapiro has really done nothing major to really p*** off conservatives in Pennsylvania. He will coast to re-election this year. By 2028, the Trump economy will lift Pennsylvania to the point that he can take credit for it by merely not obstructing it. So if J.D. Vance looks vulnerable, he can tack left and make a serious play for the Democrat nomination. If not, he can hope the far left in charge of his party gets a serious spanking in the next three cycles, comes to their senses and try again in 2032.
The party leadership may hate him, but rank and file Democrats love Shapiro.
He approved a $5 million dollar grant for a Muslim “community center”.
So maybe he’s more of a “triple agent”. Either way, he is not to be trusted!!!

Shapiro has kissed more muslim ass than probably any governor in the nation. He’s like a blank check for any muslim group in PA.
In Pennsylvania, and only because he's done a pretty good job of running that state.
I don't see any realistic chance of him tacking far enough left to appease the ascendent left wing of the Democratic party.
He is also a skilled orator, although prone to emotional and cliched methods, which however are effective with a low-IQ Democrat audience. Shapiro also lacks the cringe factor that I think will plague Newsom. Hard to see a Jew winning the nomination in that party however.
Unfortunately, Josh is a communist.
Obama needed a running mate who was his intellectual inferior, so he chose Biden. Biden needed someone less intelligent, so he chose Kamala. Kamala needed someone dumber still, so she chose Walz. “Idiocracy” was a documentary.
Interesting it takes time to figure that out I spent some time with Dr. Anthony Campolo Clinton spiritual adviser in the 1980’s before he joined the Clinton’s in the 90’s and moved more overtly leftwards.

I will never vote for someone who served a foreign military. Especially if they didn’t then find time to serve OUR military.
